Would you rather physically age slower but live half as long as you would normally or physically age faster but live twice as long?

I’ll go with the latter.

Related: Would you rather die right now, or live forever, but completely isolated from anyone, living off the land?

Well, I don’t have too much to live for anyway so I guess dying now would be okay.

What's the best version of the Fleisher Superman shorts?
Time

I didn’t know they were on blu, honestly. I have some old “Goodtimes” DVDs (which I later discovered to have altered sound effects) and I downloaded them all from Internet Archive because I have a flash drive that looks like Superman, so I figured it’d be poetic to have them there. The Internet archive versions are pretty low quality, but unaltered AFAIK.

It didn’t seem like she was babbling incoherently, it felt (to me, anyway) like she was just somewhat nervously saying what she already planned to say anyway. She knew what she exactly was talking about, but somehow didn’t realize that what she was saying was wrong, despite disagreeing with that viewpoint just days earlier.

Zootopia

A fine family film, other than a clunky exposition-dump intro, the generic pop song, and a frustratingly stupid scene at the start of the third act.

B

What scene did you think was stupid?

The one where Judy gives the speech about predator biology, even though she should have known that everyone would panic given that she was there when the mayor said that it would cause everyone to panic. That and she rejected her parents racism towards predators earlier in the film (I’m calling it racism because the film isn’t subtle about it).

And for my third post in a row on this thread, I shall say this:

I checked twitter just now and I’m seeing early reviews for Beyond such as “the Sistine Chapel compared to other 2016 movies” “has big, bold action but puts these characters in, basically, a TOS episode. For me it was a dream,” and
“…occasionally dopey (in a good way)”

Idea & Info: 'Batman V Superman - Dawn of the Edits'
Time

Got an idea for an edit (which I will never get to make because of my lack of a good computer/know-how).

The more time goes by since I’veseen it and the more I hate it. However, if I watched it pretending that it was a parody, perhaps a parody of Frank Miller’s work, then perhaps I could enjoy it. So maybe it could somehow be edited to feel more parodic.

For example, to go full Frank Miller parody, one might add swastika tattoos to random characters, or add even more news/talk show footage to the movie and spread it throughout. If possible, make a beloved side character into the villain (Jimmy Lexson, anyone?), or make Batman a psychotic murde-- wait… Anyway, an edit could be made to make Supes into an unreasonable sadis-- wait…

EDIT: I think I’m being a bit too hard on Frank. At least he was a mostly-competent storyteller at some point, even if it was about 30 years ago.

Eh. The more I think about it, the less I remember braces.

It’s not like they disappeared or something. Mandela Effect people are really, really weird.

The Mandela Effect presumes that people always remember things 100% accurately. But they don’t, people misremember things, or don’t notice things all the time. You’re transcribing information into meat, essentially, it’s a very malleable process, and things get messed up. With the Bernst(e)[a]in bears thing, I do remember it as stein, but that’s probably because stein is a very common suffix in surnames, I didn’t read the title closely, and the font is strange. Alternate universes aren’t needed to explain stuff like that. That said, I still think the phenomenon is very interesting.

Edit: Just watched the video, that is pretty strange, but it’s not proof of an alternate universe.

Yeah, but it IS Berenstein though. EARTH-STEIN FOR LIFE!!!

Man of Steel: D-

BvS Theatrical Edition: D-

WYSHS

I understand you on BvS. I’m curious to hear more about Man of Steel. My opinion is similar to Jon Schnepp and John Campea

I can’t speak for him, but Snyder’s version of the Man of Steel insults me to my very core. He’s an angry, whiny, sadistic fool with no regard for human life.

Man of Steel features a “hero” whose parents tell him that people suck and should possibly all just die. “Superman” takes that advice to heart and never tries to help anyone but his girlfriend in the final battle, and then in the aftermath of the chaos and destruction, he leaves to cause even more by smashing a satillite for fun, rather than helping the survivors of the mess he made.

BvS is actually kinda fun if I see it as a corny, over-the-top parody of Frank Miller. If I take it seriously, which Snyder wants me to do, it’s a disaster.

EDIT: I just realized that Snyder’s Superman is just weaker Dr. Manhatten. He only cares about the human he can have sex with, and the rest can die for all he cares.

Also, I don’t know who Jon Schnepp and John Campea are. Should I?
