Not only that, but the original version will *NOT* be available on DVD...

Ady, are you *POSITIVE* you aren't GL?!? j/k man... love your work, can't wait for the DVDs and (hopefully) the rest of the Saga

edit: ack, that's what I get for posting so early in the morning... I realize that was the point you were trying to make... sheesh, my bad

Ady, I just wanna throw my support behind you (again) in light of recent commentary on here. Ultimately this is YOUR edit and who gives a damn what the rest of us think? The vast majority of us love your edit. If you decide to tweak it a bit more before mastering the DVDs, that would be wonderful, but as has been said numerous times already, YOUR version of ANH is the one that I will be watching most often.

Can't wait to show off the final DVD-9 version to my buddy who is an even bigger SW geek than I am

...also if and when you decide to complete the Saga, I will anxiously await those as well

If the first 10 minutes are anything to go by, this is now *THE* definitive version of the film.

Man I can't wait for the NTSC DVD-5, followed by the DVD-9.

Thanks for doing this Ady!!! Take a well-deserved break, then on to TESB

So is another two weeks about when it will happen, or should we say another month? Which is more a possiblility?

It will be done when it's done, and not a moment before.

Seriously, for the love of George, Ady is doing this out of his love for the films and is taking the time needed to finally get the SEs right. What the #%^* does it matter if it's next week, next month, or even next year?!? We are all excited about this, but cut the guy some slack!!!!

Relax, dear old Obi-Wan... your fear about something terrible happening is unfounded.

Sure, Aldaraan is no more, but Adywan your work is AMAZING. I don't know how else I can describe it without repeating what others have said.

THIS is what the SE in 97 (or 04 for that matter) should have been. Subtle changes that don't take you out of the moment but further immerse you into the world that GL created.

The only thing that bothered me, being in the USA, is the 4% speedup, but I recall there will also be a true NTSC version available as well, so no big deal

Amen, brother, Amen....

Ady, you f-in' rock. It would have been nice to have a Christmas XVID but we have waited this long, what is a little while longer to get things perfect in your eyes?

Ady,

I just told my wife that I am so glad that you are a perfectionist. It is awesome that you can fix so much...video....audio...your talents are endless.

I am in awe of your work that you had already posted and can't even imagine the work you put into this project. I thought I was a huge Star Wars fan, but you far surpass me.

I am glad that in this whole world, that this edit is being done by you. Your keen eye and your cool temperment has been a blessing to us all. Thank you for giving us so much to look forward to.

You really have brought the magic of Star Wars back to my level of awe when I was a little kid...and I thank you for that.

Just wanted to add my voice to the legion of fans that are shouting "Keep up the great work"

And screw the nut-job complainers... let them fan-edit your fan-edit if things bother them that much. This is your baby, and you've already improved it tremendously over the 1997 and 2004 SEs

Can't wait til it's "released"

Heroes

I never saw a single ep of Heroes until 2 weeks before the start of the new season. I had heard how great it was from numerous people but by that time, the first season was already half over and I knew I would have been lost.

This show is easily my favorite now. Before it used to be 24 and LOST. I still love those shows, but Heroes takes the cake.

I agree that it seems obvious that Hiro will take on the role of the warrior Kensei at some point.

After watching all the eps in a marathon sitting, it's gonna be rough having to go a whole week between new ones. At least there's this thread and the other forums
