I’m thinking about putting together a box to hold the Blu Ray cases for this set. Does anyone have a high-res copy of the Despecialized version of the Definitive Collection logo from the laserdisc box set? I looked through a bunch of threads here but couldn’t find a good link, and the only version I have is too small for this. Thanks!

maybe you should just use an empty starfield from each movie. do such images exist for all three? i am not looking to make more work, this is a very minor detail. (back of booklet stored inside the case as you say!)
I’ll hunt around. Anyone have starfield images handy that would work here?
Dahmage, your thoughts actually mirror some of my own, which is why I asked for some feedback before getting too far down this road. I’m also somewhat indifferent on the 3 lightsaber artwork, but thought as a minor graphic, on the back of a booklet stored inside the case, they could work.
The problem is finding a good graphic for all 3 movies that looks consistent and allows for laying text over practically the entire page (and the RotJ one has even more text than this one). I’ll also admit that while I usually have a pretty good eye for case layout, my graphic-editing abilities are fairly amateurish. If anyone has any ideas or can point me to some artwork for all 3 films that they think would work, I’d be all for it.
I didn’t like how the text on the back of the booklet looked with the existing images, so I’ve been playing around with alternatives. This still needs some work, but I thought I would post it to get people’s feedback. I have the red lightsaber to use for ESB and green for RotJ, as well.
I also like using the back of the booklet for this. I’m playing around with the back artwork, maybe trying to grey-scale it or use something different to let the text pop a bit more.
Dahmage has been helping me work out a couple of issues I’ve been having with phildesfr’s original templates. Once that is all worked out I was thinking about making a couple more versions of my templates. The one I made already is for a single Blu-ray case and the 50GB version of each movie that includes the special features, I was thinking a version for the 25 GB movie and 25 GB special features as a 2 disk set. Maybe I’ll tweak it further to house njvc’s 3 disk set as well, once I figure out a case size to use for 3 disks.
My set has the interior art for the reverse of the front cover as well (same as the original set from phildesfr), but there are a couple differences between dahmage’s and my set, so it probably couldn’t hurt to do the 3rd one for anyone who has already printed out your first 2.
Dahmage, I don’t have the disk label for RotJ handy, so if you could make a transparent PNG for it to match the first 2, I’d appreciate it.
Yeah i was going to point that out, the interior art is untouched from phildesfr so you could always grab it from his set.
but yeah, i think i might as well complete the set.
FYI, i have been adding a small version number for the DE disk labels to signify which despecialized version it is. (ie, Jedi will say DE 2.5 just above the hub). i may create a clean set too just in case someone doesn’t want that.
Yeah, I noticed the version numbers, definitely could come in handy when I’ve got multiple versions of these lying around. I’d love a RotJ one with the version number to match, plus a clean set of all 3 for future use, if it wouldn’t be too much of a bother.

OK, I got my graphics issues with phildesfr’s templates worked out, and finished my set for all 3 movies. These, like phildesfr’s, are for standard Blu-ray cases. I also made a tweak in the inserts I linked earlier, both the cases and the updated inserts are available at this link:

Hey Stardork, nice work. Do those covers work with standard Blu-Ray cases or the Criterion style larger cases?
They are sized for standard cases. I don’t have a Criterion case, unfortunately. I’ll try to find the right dimensions and see if I can tweak a version to fit it.

I’ve been mostly lurking here for a bit, and have read enough to know not to beg for a MySpleen invite. I got SW 2.5, ESB 2.0 and RotJ 1.0 off public trackers, and have been very happy with them. I watched all 3 movies today after seeing The Force Awakens last night. Just wanted to give my thanks to Harmy and everyone involved, and I am really looking forward to the 2.0 RotJ release.
