May you give it a try at EP 7? It could be possible it has the IMAX scene intact, and, even with subtitles, given the fact WOWOW has a great quality, it’s always possible to use unaffected frames, and use lower quality versions to remove hardsubs.
I’ve just begun the DL over on the Spleen, and will leave this up on my seedbox for the foreseeable future. It will live on!

I made a comparison between the theatrical cut (russian crawl), the workprint and the HDTV, here you are my conclusions:
So, to recreate the theatrical cut, there are just two things to do:

What’s about 1080p extended editions? For the prequel trilogy, the DVD deleted scenes are finished - as few others from BD - and should be not that hard to reinsert them in the movies… (I’m aware ADigitalMan did DVD versions, don’t know if HD versions exist.)
With the original trilogy, though, I think it’s another story… the deleted scenes quality - even the finished ones - is pretty low, and don’t know if it’s possible to restore them to be on par with HD versions; I remember vaguely a thread or two talking about this possibility.
Anyway, can’t say prequel trilogy + some added minutes of extended scenes could make them better; but, probably, couldn’t make them worse… or not?
At the contrary, the original should be left untouched - whatever could be defined as “untouched” about a trilogy “touched” at least three times!
Any chance you’re pursuing a complete regrade of the Scream? The detail in the Scream BD is awesome.

Some notes: Scream BD quality is really better than the old master used in the HD-DVD and BD; colors are improved also a lot, and they are consistent (remember that shot where snow starts pink, then became white, finally blue?); still, too much blue for my taste - of course, if you watch the whole movie, you will not notice it a lot, because eyes (brain) will be slowly think the colors are right, but I do not think so… finally, a spoRv 2.0 using the Scream BD as source could still be an interesting project!

Note: every EP7 deleted scene (on BD/3DBD/DMA) has a timecode (white on black background) on the upper left of the screen.
Rogue One required extensive reshoots late in its production. About 45 scenes that were featured in trailers or TV spots did not make it to the final film. According to director Gareth Edwards, these were simply bits and pieces, not entire scenes removed from the film.

It is confirmed, it’s the 2011 BD version; quality is very good, albeit don’t know if it’s better than the BD; seems a little less blocky than my MPEG-2 HDTV version, but at the same time less defined… it has better shadow details, though!

I’ve spotted the new Scream Factory BD and colors are way better than the previous; seems there is a bit too blue, but if I have to choose between this and other previous releases, this is the only choice.
spoRv’s red: I haven’t noted pink snow, but, as it was my firt color regrading attempt, it could be possible; IF there will be another, I’ll take care to do everything as best as possible.
Yeah, and maybe The Force Awakens will have the IMAX version of the escape from Jakku in this broadcast.

We can’t have everything… at least, it missed from our HDTV collection, and, still, could be useful for restoration purposes.
I downloaded some parts so far, and extracted them; I watched the first minutes, and the quality seems very good - so, can’t say if it’s 2004 or 2011.
Audio is AAC 2.0, japanese - no bitrate info, but I suspect it’s quite low, leaving more space for the video, hence more quality!

Video only (without any audio) size of my MPEG2 and AVC broadcast recordings of EP4 is around 14GB, so 18GB, without audio, is still a good size; anyway, I’d leave it “as is”, untouched - at least, RARed in small chunks.
Even if it’s 2011, it could still be a bit better than the overly DNR’ed Blu-ray, isn’t true?

Are the currently available HDTV versions of any use to maybe average out the different captures?
I have 5 movies x 2 versions, and 1 movie x 1 version (downloading the last missing one); in two days WOWOW will broadcast the whole saga, and Molly will record it; hope this version is the 2004, to improve quality further!
