Help: looking for... Droids and Ewoks animated tv series preservation attempt
Time

Hi all,
I’m looking for some uncompressed or DV versions of the droids cartoons from the mid 80s. Same for Ewoks. The items i’ve downloaded have been of various quality. I’m looking to make a master set of discs for these series in a remastered preservation project. I know this is a stretch, but if anyone has any VHS originals from the 80’s… A DV dub would be helpful…

I’ve seen a couple of VHS’s on ebay, from the 1995 version of “The Pirate and the Prince” but as I understand it, that’s an edited version of the original broadcasts.

I do have a DVD complilation I’ve dloaded. My daughters love it, but like I said, there’s quality issues. And to get any real upgrade in quality on those, I’d be looking at doing frame-by-frame editing… (sigh)… I’d like to preserve as best I can the original cartoons.

Any help would be GREATLY appriciated. Anyone want to talk offline please send me a message.

Thanks all, and keep up the EXCELLENT work!

A rebuild of the opening crawl with the title Revenge of the Jedi would be cool.

That would be cool. Unfortunately I don't have the resources to do it. Anyone? Anyone?

I'll go for it. I've got AE pro. I haven't needed yet to do a full crawl, but hey... why not now? Do you have a timeline? I'm working on several projects but will fit this in.

Info: Whats on Your Shelf????
Time
Hello All,
This is my inagural post, so I figured this was the best jumping off point. Y'all have some cool displays. love the shots of the collections.

I thought I'd post a couple of shots of my work office. I've got a few pieces from my home collection up here and am currently housing the majority of my OT and fan edit collection up here.

I've got y'all beat I think of the nerdy factor... yeah... that's a notebook computer on the shelf (it's sister is in my home collection). It continually plays a playlist consisting of (but not limited to) the George Lucas saga, several fan edits. several preservation editions, lots of commercials, tv specials, documentaries, a few fan films... trailers, music videos etc etc.

It's funny to watch people when they come into my office to ask a question or have a short meeting... their eyes keep wandering to that shelf... love it!

I've got the volume turned down so as to not distract, but it runs 24 x 7. and like I said, it's sister is running at home... Can anyone beat that.
