Head on over to www.halloweeenmovies.com, and go to their forums. They have one forum called "memorbilia" or something like that for trading and stuff. There is a guy named "Franchise" who has a bunch of Halloween rare cuts that he "trades" for about $15-$20. These include the tv/alternate cut of Halloween II, Halloween: H20, Halloween Ressurection (i.e., Halloween: Homecoming). I think he has a few more. Anyway, I love to get my hand on some of these cuts...been thinking about it for awhile. But you should definitely shoot him a PM over there...

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, I'm into buying fan distributed DVD's anymore ever since a year ago I was duped into buying the TR47 set for $80 off ebay. If it were me with a little more money right now, I would buy those, rip em and put em up on a torrent. I think these will probably end up on a torrent site sooner or later anyway. The cuts I saw on ebay weren't the producers cut or tv cut, it was like a directors cut with 40-60 minutes of additional footage. It was so long ago when I was search for the star wars OT. Anyway, that halloween site is very informative.

P.S. - Upon searching the word torrent in that site, I came up with 3 matches and none of them mentioning anything about file sharing. LOL, I guess there not into that.

It looks like there will be a lot more new members at myspleen due to the superman cut!!!. Supermancinema fans are really excited about this, awesome!!

I'm also really interested in this release:

Halloween 6: The Origin of Michael Myers - The Producers Cut "Workprint" - VHS transfer NON-Composite!!

I know halloween 2 and 4 have producer cut versions and I've been scouting for those. Only available on ebay right now for $70+

The Cowclops Transfers (a.k.a. the PCM audio DVD's, Row47 set) Info and Feedback Thread (Released)

I also posted a comment on spleen also. I agree with Rikters review. I was expecting this DVD to be totally awesome also. I have only watched EP4 but I'm probably going to cancel the rest since I don't see any reason to waste dvd's. Great effort but I agree the original Cowclops(TR47) is far more superior. The chapter selection menu is pretty sweet though

Mingus - I actually did find this site right after I bought the DVD's. I believed I signed up too but I can't remember what the username is now. At the time, I didn't know anything about torrents nor did I want to learn anything because either way, I had no DVD burner. Which is the reason I bought the DVD's in the first place. Thinking of it, with that money spent, I could have bought a burner. After I bought the DVD's I learnt you could buy them from TR47 directly for cheaper too!!. The X0 project does look amazing, I love the updated screenshots that they post and I'm looking forward to that set the most. Something I'm willing to spend money on for sure. My girlfriend always hates I have so many star wars versions, 6 in counting. She also hates the star wars movies in general but loves AOTC and ROTS becuase of the love story, LOL.

MeBeJedi - I will be around awhile for sure. This place is great and I check the forums regularly. I'm currently downloading your prototype dvd, thanks for the hard work.

Observer - The copies came from ebay but I honestly can't remember. Maybe it was TR47, did he sell these on ebay too??. I tried looking for the paypal receipt but its nowhere to found. Speaking of which, they are TR47 covers but modified from the ones I've seen here, mainly from the Cover Collection Pack Rikter compiled. Widescreen is at the top and on the back, there's a white box that says disc features with audio, video, other.

I tried seeing if I could copy them the other day. All DVD's stop at 80% including the bonus material. Maybe the original maker put some kind of lock in this thing if thats even possible?

…and a year later I found this site. August 2004 of last year I was searching every single place to find the OT on DVD. Of course, the anxiously awaited special special editions were being released in a couple months. I still wanted to watch the OT, in widescreen. I have never watched Star Wars in its original widescreen form other than when the 1997 editions came out on the big screen and I went to see that. Mind you, I watched my VHS first edition release about 20 times. So I finally found this site http://starwarsdvd.maclenet.com/ . After stumbling on that I realized there are original widescreen editions out there. So I turned to ebay where you can find everything. At that time, there were two sets on ebay. Dr. Gonzo’s set which was going for around $100-120cdn. It came with the white “Definitive Collection” covers. The set looked really nice. Then there was Cowclops set dubbed “TR47” at the time. It was going for $50-60cdn. So I opted for that set which came with original TR47 DVD covers. At this time, I didn’t know anything about torrents nor did I know other people were sharing this movie through P2P. Yeah, I was pretty stupid I guess. It arrives at my door and I’m extremely happy with the set. No menu’s but the video/audio quality is superb. At last, watching star wars as how it was intended.

A year later I pop in Star wars after seeing revenge of the sith. About halfway into the movie it just stops and freezes. WTF??. I paid $70 for these discs with shipping last year and this is what I get. I tried it on two other DVD players and same thing happened. I finally aquired a DVD burner(NEC 3420A) and popped it in there for a scan disc run. The last few of the VOB files are corrupt.

A last, I find this site and its just amazing the generosity and kindness that goes on here. I can’t believe how many edits there are now. My personal favourite is still TR47 for video/audio quality, Editdroid for the menu system, Dr.Gonzo represents “Definitive Collection” feel. I asked a question just now where to find the gonzo set and it was answered within a couple hours, so awesome!!!. I’ll be passing these movies along to my friends hoping that nobody else gets duped the way I was.

Once again, thank you guys for your incredible knowledge and these forums.

BTW, I do own the VHS “faces” widescreen black box but just don’t own a vcr. Who would want one these days anyway?.lol

Anyone know where the Gonzo edits can be found?. I was told to search torrentreactor.net and I did, but when I download the torrent from there it says invalid?. Thats the only site that does that. I also tried the last place that was recommended which was torrentsearch.com and it brought me to the three edits. Sadly, the tracker is removed so those movies cannot be found on those sites.

So question where can this be found as a torrent and not in newsgroups?. Thanks.
