Stuff with side characters, not related to either Cassian, Mothma, Luthen, or Deidra/Cyril, I was basically skipping. Although I was trying to pay attention if any of it came to major relevance later, and honestly msot of it did not. I think any of the lesser arcs outside of those those characters can be almost entirely cut, outside of where they intersect with the main characters.

The act structure will be tricky, but this can definitely be made into ONE great film.

Although I really enjoyed a lot of the subplots and minor characters, I agree with you that by sticking to the major characters and plotlines, something feeling like an actual film can be achieved. That’s exactly how I approached my edit of season one.

Obviously, tons of footage will have to be cut, but that’s what makes it such a fun challenge. Some people will never be interested in watching season two in an abbreviated form, which I get, but I still believe many people will enjoy the alternate viewing experience of a film trilogy ending with Rogue One. I know I will!

I’d be interested in watching S2 in an abbreviated version! Then I could watch S1, S2, & Rogue One in a single sitting 😉

Judging by the first 3-episodes of S2, you’ve certainly got your work cut out for you with an Andor II 2.5 hour film cut!

Agreed

With the one year time jumps every three episodes is it even going to be possible?

You may have to break the 2.5 hour movie into quarters with the “one year later, BBY…” appearing each time

Not really. The time could be implied like a lot of movies do. Also the first three were so slow, you could easily knock out their plots within 20-30 minutes, make it apart of the 1st act.

True. The third episode of each story arc seems to be the only time something happens. Could almost just use the four of these alone

Send me a Google Drive folder link to “The Acolyte”.

I don’t think they’re going to send you a link.

They could at least respond to the dude. That’s basic human decency. A simple response really goes a long way in making things feel respectful.

"Don’t get cocky, kid!

I’ve already responded to this user multiple times—on MR Discord, Discord DMs, Reddit, Reddit DMs, several email accounts —and they received the same reply as you:

“Please show proof of an active Disney+ subscription.”

Like you, they failed to provide it, so they don’t get access to my edits.

You’re 60 years old, and Trolling is how you choose to spend your time after being told “No”? Pathetic.

Dude, you must have me confused with somebody else… I DO have a Disney+ subscription, & I am certainty NOT 60yo 🤣

So old you can’t even remember your own BS? 😉

Your email to me after you were banned for trolling. S.G. Scobie: "I joined Discord primarily to watch @MoviesRemastered SW edits, I also subscribed to @MoviesRemastered on YT, Reddit, have a Disney+ subscription (since 2019), & own all SW media available on DVD.

I am 60yo, & have been a SW fan since seeing the original trilogy in cinemas from 1977 to 1983… before you were even born."

Get a grip, Pal. You’re boring!

Not me. But they DO have a Disney+ subscription! Have great life, mate!👋

That sounds good.

I’d need to watch the scene back, but when the kids are down below arguing, is there a place you might be able to end the scene both before they split up and also before the camera shows the ship up above? Ideally we need to create the impression that the resort dumps their ship down below to be scrapped.

Both derekwkim’s & Zuberas’ edits have handled this well in different ways. Maybe check them out

A couple of lingering questions, which maybe you could work into or work around in the edit:

  • What happened to the captain of the Onyx Cinder after he crashed on At-Atan? Maybe he also confronted the Supervisor AI and got killed by it when his true agenda was discovered? Maybe the AI could drop a line that implies this?

  • If the Onyx Cinder was originally a native At-Atan ship and that’s why it was allowed through the barrier, who was its captain and what was its purpose? Was the original pirate captain from At-Atan in the first place, or maybe he captured the actual envoy who was supposed to use the ship to travel back and forth? Maybe that’s why the AI recognized Jod as an envoy.

  • And again, as has been brought up multiple times now, why does Jod tell the pirates to attack? Wouldn’t a better tactic have been to simply replace the Supervisor and send shipments of credits out to his crew every few months? Could you somehow imply that this was his original plan but that it had been blocked by something, maybe the kids blowing the cover on him or his ship’s actual identity? That way, just like with the kids, he would start out trying to be a friend, but if needed, he would change angles and use fear to get what he wants.

What happened to the captain of the Onyx Cinder was clearly explained—his concubine stabbed him. His corpse was shown on the Onyx Cinder.

One random thing that came to me: you might need to reinstate the whole “claimsies” scene, or else Fern taking back SM-33 will make even less sense than it already does. Wild how that scene has more relevance to the plot than any of the parent stuff lmao.

Yes. Claimsies has been added back in. I’ve been going back through the first two and a half episodes and episode 7 to tighten things up as much as possible. I’ll get onto episode 8 on Wednesday and hopefully have the first and last acts finished by the end of the week. Then I’ll work on the mess that is the middle episodes!

One radical option I’ve been considering is having the crew travel straight from the pirate port to skull mountain.

Then the big gun on the roof of the school wouldn’t be explained, as I feel this is going to be a reveal in E8.
