you can read about it’s origin here …https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilhelm_scream

that is a good observation , never thought of it until just now …did the Wilhelm scream show up in the current sequel trilogy anywhere ?
updated my gallery with a recreation / re imagining of the splash page from issue 7 of the original series , this was the first eu tale …https://screamsinthevoid.deviantart.com/
interesting interview with one of the writers of the original series…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVU0Dz9t1kQ
NeverarGreat , you are my new hero ! awesome post pointing out the absurdity of it all !
those were good series , do you feel the series fits into the list of things you listed as your dislikes though ? and if so , why ?
so what do you think of the current Marvel Star Wars line ?
he is entitled to his opinion , and it is just that , an opinion . I have to admit that I am curious to the reason behind his animosity though .
and yes , Star Wars did save Marvel from going out of business back in the late 70s …http://www.tested.com/starwars/462380-remembering-original-marvel-star-wars-comics/
A shame in hindsight.
guessing you are not a fan of Marvel these days ?

I thought the Star Wars episode was great too , Kind of surprised they only have 4 episodes up though , hope it is not a whole year until it continues
I still have the first set , though I did open the individual packs up . I lost the box they came in though . Which is a shame as it had a great Ken Steacy illustration in airbrush of Darth Vader on the front .
yeah it would , lol . And that book and record of Planet Of The Hoojibs is fantastic , I love the painted panels re imagining issue 55 . The whole thing is on Youtube …https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wZPK1wTkBM
The Hoojibs were the first thing I thought of when seeing the Porgs for the first time , I saw an illustration somewhere of Artoo surrounded by Porgs and remembered that there is also a Star Wars Galaxy trading card out there of Artoo surrounded by Hoojibs as well . both the Porgs and The Hoojibs are also crawling on him in each illustration
thank you ,that would be cool , they would be at almost 500 issues by now
I updated my gallery today with an original composition , it is of The Last Jedi as if it were a part of the original Marvel series and the series had never ended and continued on into the present day …https://screamsinthevoid.deviantart.com/art/The-Last-Jedi-Reto-Cover-727497883
Ahhh , The Star Words letter column at the back of many an issue , there were some real gems in there , great snapshot of early fandom , There was one fan who wrote in before Return Of The Jedi came out who commented that Luke and Leia acted more like brother and sister than love interests !
Lumiya did indeed cross over into those novels SiverWook , and Threepio in the rain was a beautiful panel
inspired by the conversation here tonight , I updated my gallery with an homage to issue 96 , Duel With A Dark Lady …https://screamsinthevoid.deviantart.com/
it’s all good
the Obi-Wan flash back was pretty neat and another example of where they kind of predicted future movie events as Obi Wan’s Jedi outfit resembles Luke’s outfit in Return Of The Jedi
turns out it is a Shoto , a short saber …http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Wars_96:_Duel_With_a_Dark_Lady
#read the issue
Yeah , I like that Seven Samurai homage as well and the old marvel series was way ahead of it’s time , they even did a similar storyline in the Clone Wars animated series . Those early issues you mentioned such as the wheel saga and the Biggs issue were some of my favorites as well . I would have to say the Shira Brie storyline is my favorite of the series , especially from about issue 58-63 .
