J. Williams & LSO, The EMPIRE STRIKES BACK AUDIOPHILE EDITION - Restored & Remastered Score (Released)
Time

Hi ABC,

Just wanted to drop a public note and thank you for all the hard work you've done with the music! ESB is my favorite of the six and i think John Williams was similarly at his greatest with this soundtrack.

I must confess i dont have the ear for some of the specific things i read about in this and the previous posts. I can tell that the music has a nice crispness and clearness to it so for that thank you.

I burned v3 onto CDs yesterday and have them in my car now. I hope to continue to enjoy the music and wanted to thank you once again.

Esper Edition is kind of the first real comprehensive bootleg i ever listened to. This version contains music thats on the original release, some new queues of music with sound fx, and new queues without sound fx. "Leaons VK Test" for example is new, but it has the sound fx fromt he scene running thru it. I beleive thats becasue its a rip from the laserdisk. "Tears in Rain" is the same music as the original releases but its clear without any dialog or added efects as in the official release and in the track "Fading Away".

"2019 Edition"

 1. Main Titles
 2. The Spinne
 3. Decard Meets Rachel
 4. Rachel's Test
 5. Mr Chews Eye Lab
 6. Memories Of Green Decard's Blues
 7. I'm Hungry JF

 11. Love Theme
 12. Morning At Bradbury Building
 13. The Prodigal Son Returns
 14. Tyrel's Death
 15. Bradbury Apartments
 16. Through Rain And Snow
 17. The Duel
 18. Time To Die
 19. Rachel Sleeping / Escape / End Titles

This soundtrack has several queues that i had not hear on any other soundtrack. # 7, #13,#16 all appear to be original to this CD. #8 i have heard before on Esper Edition, but this version appears to be more clear. Same with #15.

Blade Runner Soundtrack by Vangelis:

 1. Main Titles
 2. Blush Response
 3. Wait For me
 4. Rachel's Song
 5. Love Theme
 6. One More Kiss, Dear
 7. Blade Runner Blues
 8. Memories of Green
 9. Tales of the Future
 10. Damask Rose
 11. Blade Runner (End Titles)
 12. Tears in the Rain

The first official soundtrack by Vangelis himself. It was a real treat to finally listen to Vangelis' music, as done by him. The music was great and "Rachel's Song" was just awesome. Some of the tracks, like "Rachel's Song", unless I’m mistaken, were original compositions and not actually in the movie. One item I did not like in most cases was the overdubbing of dialog (however on track 12, I felt it actually fit). Also a nitpick, on track 2, this is one of those original compositions not in the movie, but it features dialog dubbed on top from the movie. If u listen very closely you can hear the original music from the scene in the background :-P

Blade Runner Trilogy 25th Anniversary 3CD Special Edition by Vangelis:

CD1

 1. Main Titles (From Blade Runner)
 2. Blush Response
 3. Wait For Me
 4. Rachel's Song
 5. Love Theme From Bladerunner
 6. One More Kiss, Dear
 7. Blade Runner Blues
 8. Memories Of Green
 9. Tales Of The Future
 10. Damask Rose
 11. Blade Runner (End Titles)
 12. Tears In Rain

CD2

 1. Longing
 2. Unveiled Twinkling Space
 3. Dr. Tyrell's Owl
 4. At Mr. Chew's
 5. Leo's Room
 6. One Alone
 7. Deckard And Roy's Duel
 8. Dr. Tyrell's Death
 9. Desolation Path
 10. Empty Streets
 11. Mechanical Dolls
 12. Fading Away

CD3

 1. Launch Approval
 2. Up And Running
 3. Mail From India
 4. BR Downtown
 5. Dimitri's Bar
 6. Sweet Solitude
 7. No Expectation Boulevard
 8. Vadavarot
 9. Perfume Exotico
 10. Spotkanie Z MatkaPiano In An Empty Room
 11. Keep Asking

The 2nd and most recent of the official releases of the soundtrack. The 1st CD is a rerelease of the 1st soundtrack, the 2nd cd is some new material and the 3rd is original compositions not in the movie. The 2nd CD has some really great new themes on it. Not really an expert on the music so I don’t know where some of those themes come from, #1,#6, #9, #10. CD3 is all original music inspired by the movie. Only nit I have is that the music seems to have extra sounds added over top of the music. For example, #12 “Fading Away” is just “tears in the Rain” sans dialog, but it has this effect noise at the beginning that seems to bridge one song to the next. It’s not in the movie so I don’t get what its for.

(more to come)

Info & Help Wanted: Blade Runner Soundtracks - Collating what is out there...
Time

All, I have been a fan of Vangelis’ Blade Runner (BR) soundtrack for a decade or more. Having purchased the original soundtrack and the 25th anniversary, Ive always been fascinated with the music in the bootlegs. Back in the napster days i can recall trying to download the various expanded editions and different queues from the laser disk that were out there. Many years ago I actual got my hands on one of the Gongo releases from a seller.

The problem i have with all the editions i have (Esper 2,3, Gongo, 2019, etc etc) is trying to come up with the “one” or the best sounding. For example, the “love theme” is pretty uniform across all the distributions, but the track “I am the Business” sounds different from Esper 2, to 3, and different on 2019 edition and different on “The Sound of Blade Runner”.

I was curious if anyone would like to participate in a discussion (post) to try and collate the various bootlegs and soundtracks and come up with the best sounding, most complete score.

Also if people have some knowledge about the soundtrack and the queues in the bootlegs and know why one version of a tracks sounds one way here and another way there that would be interesting to read.

At any rate if anyone’s interested please feel free to say. Ill reserve the next post to put up what I have.

Disney's The Black Hole (Complete Score Project) - Any Interest?
Time

Hi, i also love the music from this movie. Ive spent years tracking down extended ques from this movie and many more and would love to finally get some good queues :-)

I have visited the blog you speak of and listned to the music there and i also found another blog that now seems to be down. the blogs i found were:

theinfernomusiccrypt.blogspot.com, raresoundtracks.wordpress.com. , and bsoraros.wordpress.com

I got the music and kinda made my own playlist based off those sources. Id be happy to upload it so others can listen to it if someone can provide me with a place to put it. None of my work of course, just what i have found.
