Ok this made my day. Not only did his facial structure look way more spot on, his mannerisms in the way he moves his face look AMAZING. Young mark Hamill as Luke is a face and character that everyone is so familiar with that this has to be just right to not be disturbing. Shamook nailed this one.
This is what I have been waiting for thank you for sharing! Shamooks deepfakes look the best IMO. Maybe it’s just deepfacelab. Haven’t watched yet but I’m assuming it will still look a bit off due to luke’s creamy movements bodily and facially.

Very good point. Luke’s school would be somewhere where Ben could stay that is away from home. We wouldn’t need to see Han to see Ben.
If we think that Grogu will meet Ben Solo at Luke’s school, will we see Han? If so, will they have to do a creepy Han video game character because Alden Ehrenreich would look weird next to Luke?
First of all, you have a great name. Second, while I don’t think we will be seeing Grogu in the Mandalorian again, I don’t think his story is over. I think there’s a good chance of him tying into any of the new series, especially Ahsoka. Her appearance in the Mandalorian was definitely setting up for something else, and I think her relationship with Grogu will develop.

My theory is that book of Fett will be the next season/story of The Mandalorian. This episode concluded the book of Grogu, and now we move onto the Book of Fett. Others were even commenting on how this felt like the end of the series. Plus, Disney said that season 3 of The Mandalorian would be on December 25 of 2021, and I couldn’t see them releasing two major Star wars series at the same time. ALSO (sorry just thought of this) it would be strange for Disney not to have mentioned this on Disney Investor Day if it were a new series.
I’m really hoping we get more answers about what Gideon was trying to do with Grogu’s blood.

I’m certain ILM worked incredibly hard to get this effect, like they did with Tarkin, and that’s enough for me. Although I still think Sebastian Stan would have worked well, it’s a great thing that old Mark Hamill can still have a chance at playing young Luke Skywalker.
And I think they should know by now to stop burning money on this stuff that always fails and has to be fixed by amateur deep fake people online. Mark Hamill can still have the role, but when it’s so prohibitive (to the budget and the performance) they need to do it another way. Give him a beard, do practical makeup, do something else. It’s gonna age like milk. Evidently people haven’t complained enough.
Hallelujah. This is exactly how I feel. I feel like there are so many talented people at ILM, and they pour so much effort into creating and rigging these detailed 3d models like with Tarkin, and it always ventures into the uncanny valley. ILM should ask Weta Digital for help if they need to. It makes me sad knowing that there is so much potential at ILM and they never seem to learn from their mistakes reviving/de-aging actors. I know it’s not a limitation of our current technology. Other studios like Weta Digital have created mind-blowing de aging visual effects like with Will Smith in Gemini Man, and even self-taught deepfakers like Shamook are able to paste an actors face onto a double with superior quality. I hope Lucasfilm actually learns from the negative public reaction to these actor vfx.
Very appropriate very appropriate. Second of the two is by far my favorite because It looks much nicer and is more thorough (unfortunately no Tantive). I never realized just how detailed the death star II model is too. Thanks for sharing!

The b-wing is a great show of how artistically and creatively different star wars’ spaceships were (and still are).

How would you cast the bad batch? Echo could easily be Temuera Morrison with some de-aging, but the rest are all unique in appearance.
What if Rebels had the same art/animation style as Clone Wars? Overall I really do like the style of rebels, but when characters like Yoda and Bo Katan make their respective appearances they look bizarre because we’re so familiar with how they look in Clone Wars. This is clearly highly impractical; I was just wondering.

I did include bad batch as essential viewing. Also, With the way this guide is set up, It would be a bit confusing to put the Martez sisters before the Bad Batch. Even if I could do it in a way that worked I probably wouldn’t. The creators of Clone wars season 7 didn’t make it in perfect chronological order for a reason. I think the Bad Batch arc is a better intro to the season than if we were to start with Ahsoka and the Martez sisters. Also, I find it interesting to cut to ahsoka in a very different situation, contrasting life in the Jedi order and life not in the Jedi order. I don’t really get what you’re trying to say with the second part of your post. I am aware that The Siege of Mandalore and Revenge of the Sith feature Anakin’s return to Coruscant during the battle featuring Palpatine’s kidnapping. If you wanted me to change the guide to fit that, the problem is, there is only so much you can put in those paragraphs. I did try to address the fact that the siege of Mandalore ties into ROTS.
