Star Wars: Heir to the Force (TFA edit) Released
Time

Came here to say this is still my favorite cut of The Force Awakens. I’m so happy that fanedits exist because now I have versions of the sequel trilogy that I actually ENJOY rewatching. For me the best cuts of this trilogy are:
Heir to the Force - Digmodification
The Fallen Knight - Clark Zuckerberg
Duel of Fates - Joshuabri (the only version that removes Palpatine I’ve seen)

Watch these and the movies make damn sense and are actually GOOD.

A Palpatine-less Edit of The Rise of Skywalker (Released)
Time

Wow, this was really great. It’s amazing how much more focused the whole movie is without Palpatine. He literally slows down the momentum of the original movie and just feels shoehorned in. Overall job well done. Just a few personal thoughts on this cut:

 1. Personally I would cut the Kylo Ren vs Vader fan made scenes at the beginning. Sure it looks cool but I don’t really think it fits, and the scene would flow well enough without it. Ren finds Exegol, the new fleet emerges.

 2. I really liked the squeaky wheel scene. Well done.

 3. I’m not a fan of Chewy blowing up at all. I think he could just be captured, the team is sad about it and they take off. Then they find him later. But maybe you need it for plot line that Rey killed her parents.

 4. I would recommend cutting out the take turn team speech before the battle. I think you trimmed it so it’s better but personally I think the whole thing is cringe. A montage of them all getting ready for the battle with music would be better I think.

 5. Things at the end of the third act after the star destroyers start blowing up gets a little muddled but I really don’t know what can be done about that. Maybe others have suggestions.

 6. I like that Rey isn’t alone at the end but personally I would swap the group shot and the flying off into the sunset shot so it ends with the falcon flying off into the sunset. I think it would fit the musical score better.

I’d just like to say this is my favorite cut of this and I think it greatly improves upon the film. It’s really impressive and I enjoyed it a lot.

I’d love a link for this. Palpatine added into the movie was really my biggest issue with it and really is an insult to Return of the Jedi I think. It’s an awesome idea to make Kylo the main villain and the entire Mcguffin is the quest to find the fleet. I’m REALLY curious how you end the movie though if Kylo just dies in the lightsaber duel or what happens. Thanks for all your hard work making this!
