Forget I said anything... guess we can't comment any projects without being belittled.
I'll just put this one back again.. ---^
That's one heck of a reply.
To each his own. I just made a comment that's all. Fortunately I do remember what I had for lunch yesterday and pretty much for the whole past month.
Forget I said anything... guess we can't comment any projects without being belittled.
ROFL
The one on the top would be what I remember from my childhood (yes it's been a while but I'm not senile yes lol) or close to it anyway. Last thing I wanted to do was start a debate or have you defend your project Harmy... please don't take my comment the wrong way :)

Han's shirt was actually an off-white/cream(ish) sort of color then. It IS interesting to see it change colors in multiple scenes, to a yellow(ish) look though, especially seeings that Luke's outfit (Cloak?) was quite similar in color, stay mostly consistent throughout this project, as did Leia's (Dress?), which was much more of a Pure White, but I don't recall seeing IT having any color issues to-speak-of!
Pretty much what I was thinking... Having seen these movies multiple times (not talking about the re-releases here) I really do not recall that much of a yellowish tint on Solo's shirt. Cream white would be a good description.. but not complaining honest. I would never "critic" something I myself would never be able to do so ... in the end it's still all good.

I'm sick of hearing people say "I don't Wanna watch a movie about old people!" and using pics of the actors at their worst as examples to back themselves up. Cause, well, I don't wanna watch a movie about little kids!
I'm sick of hearing people saying it's gonna be about a bunch of "little kids." The original cast is how old now? Why would their children still be actual children?
As long as it's not an older Jar-Jar retelling the tale of the Old Republic to little school children it should be ok. :D

They arrived right before you did, I'm sorry."
This one is perfect imo
Darn, I really like this one (crap I'm going to end up with 20 sets of Star Wars if this keeps up).
Anyone have the printer ready files for this?
So many to choose from...difficult to decide. And so many dead links :(

Very true..

Hehehe I second that notion, very attractive woman for sure. Which is why I'm always baffled when I hear her in interviews saying she was always worried about her looks and weight. Oh well...
Of course I had to find something that may be of some use...right after creating this thread (facepalm).
Box template maker, just need to enter your dimensions

Like ray_afraid I too am a bit indifferent, ever since the special edition DVDs about 10 years ago i pretty much stopped watching Star Wars. Only until I found this forum (and a few other things) has my interest been renewed.
As far as Ep.7 to Ep.X .. Indifferent, mixed feelings, anxious, nervous, pis--d .. guess I don't really know how I feel. Lets face it "Lens-flare" Abrams has done good movies and was involved in many successful TV shows. But this is Star Wars after all, it's not the same. Like Star Trek, this series has touched and inspired so many of my generation, it's a rather touchy subject to tackle.
He can't tinker with it but he can't just do a rehash either. It has to be interesting, fresh, new and exciting but he needs to follow the established universe as well. He has so many obstacles in front of him, most of them built by us..the fans (and yes the media as well).
In the end, I'll take the movie the way it will be done. And like any radio program or TV show, I'll just change the channel if I don't like it. I had such high hopes when Phantom Menace came out... I won't be making the same mistake twice.
Hello (I really need to make an introductory thread somewhere),
Well after going as far as page 10 in this section, I gave up looking and figure I'd start this one. Sorry if this subject is already on the board, but with the search feature disabled..oh well.
So finding this forum has given me a reason to love Star Wars again. After seeing Harmy's De-Specialized editions, discussion of -1 restoration project and finally seeing the great custom art covers... Well I want hard copies now.
So my quest starts with a few questions really. I've looked around the Interwebs but did not find anything to my satisfactory on the subject. Mainly making an actual box to hold either multiple DVDs or Blu-Rays. More importantly a box capable of being customized with some of the wonderful renditions found on this forum.
It's rather obvious that I simply can't "print" on an existing box. I'm not a fan of the "sticking" printed art on one as well. Which leaves me to believe printing on cardboard then folding would be the solution. This requires a template I would assume (the folds in the cardboard etc), proper cardboard and a printer capable of handling this thicker "paper". First question... Has anyone accomplished this task yet? If so how? Can you post the finished product?
As far as sleeves, covers and the actual media.. that's pretty easy. So for this, at the moment, I see no issue.
Thanks in advance, hope someone can help.
The bravest robot in the universe... :)

Artificial lighting plays hell with whites.
So true... should've kept my mouth shut.
Still best Star Wars I've seen in many years, no complaints.

His shirt was probably white in the myriad of video releases that you've seen in the past 20 or so years.
However, the color timing on Harmy's project is based on a non-faded print from 1977, so this is pretty much how people back then saw the film.
Wow.. funny how I can remember the lyrics to stupid cereal commercial from the 80s but not remember Han's shirt colour. So what you're saying is, if I pop in my 1995 VHS tape his shirt will be white as apposed to yellowish. Not complaining, just that in a few scenes the shirt does go from yellowish to white back to yellowish.
Thanks for the reply, I am new here and will admit not as accustomed to so much discussion on all these versions (colour timings/palettes etc). Up until recently, I pretty much stopped watching Star Wars since the Special Edition train wreck. Only back to viewing my '04 DVDs because I didn't want my children to see Phantom Menace :)
This could get interesting for sure. So far i do like Harmy's version (minus a few things.. sue me I'm a grumpy old man), but getting to see this would be extremely exciting.
Hope mikeaz123 is the real deal, no offense but this is the Internet after all. My two cents, getting it professionally transferred is surely possible despite the legalities. Lets face it, there are Star Wars fans everywhere... just need to find one in the right spot.
Good luck getting this done, and if there's a safe way to contribute any monies to help I'll be the first in line for sure (this is the Internet after all).
Is it me, of is Han's shirt in docking bay 94 very very yellow ? Same thing for when they are escaping from the Death Star... Like I said could be my memory, but pretty sure it was white.

The Zahn trilogy is great. I loved Dark Horse's comic adaptations as well.
Never seen it
LOL
I meant never seen the Dark Horse adaptation... :P
I knew I still had these ones... Wonder if I should transfer the over to digital. Lots of gadgets to plugin a VHS player into a computer...they aren't widescreen.
I don't remember Han's shoulders being so shadowed over like that when he gets frozen... Could just be my memory, just don't remember it being so "dark"
Great watch... I'll be making multiple back ups. Digital and on DVD for sure. May even print out the custom cover art. Not to sound like a broken record, but I am REALLY enjoying this....

Never seen it, but I'll admit I always had trouble reading Star Wars comics. For me it's just film and a few books.
