I know this is a while since you posted, but thought you might be interested, I had my itunes Force Awakens purchase refunded due to that issue. Complained that since I didn’t know the itunes xtras couldn’t be downloaded to be played at my leisure, I should get my money back so I can buy a DVD. They gave me the refund.
