just finished the episode so random thoughts

-sometimes Boba Fett looked a little naive or dumb to me, i felt that Fennec had to explain everything to him, and c’mom he is BOBA FETT, he was Jabba go-to problem solver (also why nobody recognizes him? because he was “dead” for years, i know, but i would expect some reaction to him appearing in Tatooine, i guess coming back from the dead in the Star Wars galaxy is just daily basis now)
-everytime a villain becomes an anti-hero or we have a standalone story they’re always a little nerfed, i know it’s because the plot needs to happen, it’s just a little strange to me, but yeah just something i’ll need to live with (and that’s why i don’t want a Vader or Palpatine series or etc, those guys are too powerfull for me to believe they’ll have a real challenge to face)
-why do the sand people send A KID and a crocdog with two prisoners (one that was clearly dangerous and almost escaped before)?
-THE CATHARTIC MOMENT OF SEEING BOBA FETT MAKING HIS WAY OUT OF THE SARLAAC WAS JUST WOW WE WAITED SO LONG FOR THIS
-cool monster and cool fight i loved it
-i prefered the time Boba Fett didn’t take off his helmet in public, but i understand the reasons about story and production to why is like that now

overall, i liked it a lot, it was good, but it could’ve been better to me, looking foward

Congratulations to Hal and everyone for the project, so happy that 2 years later we have a far superior version of this movie and all thanks to this community. People like you guys are what make Star Wars worth all the trouble.

Continuity errors like these are not that huge of a problem, what always stands out for me in this movie is the unnecessary number of cuts and shots that acelerate the pacing. I’ll never get over the 1 second four-shot jump in the training sequence, it’s such a lesser thing but completely takes me out of the movie, unlike a cointinuity error like the saber hanging or the blade being on/off in weird moments. All movies have errors like these, it’s like complaining about the shadow of the blade being cast during some scenes in the OT

i’m all up to adding EVERY SINGLE SHOT (alright not every one of them, but some, mostly the stablishing shots) of this for two reasons: first, it’s f*cking beautiful; second, it slows down the pacing, making a little room to breath

I’m still gonna finish the crackling saber vfx and other scenes for The Last Hope so I’ll share once they’re done but I can’t do much until I can buy a new computer that can handle long hours using After effects.

I have indeed unsubbed from a lot of threads/sites lately only because conversations seem to be going around in circles or crossingover too much with what I’ve already done in The Last Hope. I’ve been getting a lot of trolls saying I’m stealing scenes I’ve made myself or collab’d on but didn’t get credited. I’ve also had disagreements with other youtubers claiming my work as theirs and clipping my videos etc so this little disagreement with Hal was just the cherry on the cake.

Honestly, No hard feelings with anyone, I may return once I’m fully operational but for now I’m avoiding public interactions as much as possible because I’m too old for playground antics or conversations that don’t seem to lead anywhere positive.

If anyone needs help, advice or wanna run mock-ups/ideas past me I’ll still be on PM when I can.

I feel it too, but i think it can only be REALLY noticed when looked out for, it doesn’t stand out much, it’s the best so far and i think it worked really well. Of course, i don’t doubt you wizards are able to pull a even better one than this.

Also, i like the lightsaber sound, but now i wonder if is still necessary, perhaps if better blended now that the “I am a Jedi” is clear for everyone. But at the end of the day, i think it’s up to HAL to decide what he prefers.

I think the scene works better with the saber sound, but IMO this pass it’s a bit too loud and, i don’t know how to put this, still sounds a bit like just an added foley over the scene and not a diegetic sound, maybe by muffling it a bit helps to make it all come together. The work itself is fenomenal as always, just not quite there yet for me.

Though you were indeed given yet another chance - which you blew right through and continued on as before your temp-ban. As you know, the temp-ban was to give you some time away to re-think your posting style and attitude to fan editors / creators on here. It is a shame you chose to ignore the advice and efforts of members on here who went out of their way to help you and carried on regardless upon your return. Yeah, but the main goal here is to finish the project then get drunk and/or high enough to forget it, watch it again and being blow away.
Jokes aside, officially putting it on things waiting on other or things done? 😄

So, Sherlock and Hal, are you satisfied with the “im a jedi” and the “end of her jedi path” bits? I think the overall reaction was fairly positive, what about trying to put on for the new version and doing some test screenings? Nothing better than an unsuspectfull clean ear.
