Oh, hello. Please allow me to interrupt this fine conversation... :)
As you can see, I'm new here. And I'm veeery excited about Harmy's work. "Thank you" simply doesn't express how I feel nearly enough, but...
Thank you, Harmy! Just... wow! Tremendous work!
Now, what I'd like to share are my DVD cover designs. As soon as I got Harmy's files a few days ago, I went straight to work on these designs and I literally just finished these first drafts.
The covers that Harmy shared in the front post are really freaking cool, but I decided I want a traditional look. So I've put together the following designs. For the front, I started with the original US movie posters. For the back, I used the verbatim copy from the backside of my 1992 VHS copies (description and credits), plus a choice frame from the film.
@Harmy, please notice at the bottom that I duplicated the "HARMY FILM" logo from your artwork. I did the best I could to match the font type and feel it's a rather good duplication, but I would very grateful if you would share your original art asset with me.
Again, these are hot off the press and I haven't even printed a proof yet. So there is definitely going to be some adjustments made before I share the full resolution files for other lovers of Star Wars to enjoy. I simply couldn't resist sharing these early versions and I'm willing to hear suggestions and recommendations for the shared format.
I might also create artwork for printing on the disc. Currently thinking a crop of the poster artwork. No plans for Blu-ray versions because I don't have a BD burner.
So, I'll leave these here for now. More to come later! (Could be a couple weeks due to work distractions.)
