This may be of interest to you mate?:-

The ‘Star Wars 1992 VHS styled DVD covers’ thread - http://originaltrilogy.com/topic/Star-Wars-1992-VHS-styled-DVD-covers/id/18239

Some quality work in there by crissrudd4554 and EyeShotFirst - and shouldn’t be too difficult adapt for adding some Harmy specs or logos - especially on the lower back covers etc.

 

It may also be worth checking out the DVD Covers thread, BluRay and HD covers thread, the Harmy threads, njvc’s Harmy custom thread, and the 1990 VHS cover thread (as similar as those covers are) for ideas, info and help too.

Nice find by darth_ender - just read through that tournament thread (11 years ago, eeek!) - quality times indeed mate 😃

I have to say if I knew d_e vs me were playing for the ‘ot.com Chess Master’ title I’d have taken it more seriously… and played right-handed 😉

 

Warbler - if you’re free in a few weeks or so, would you like to play a game vs me again? (no worries if not, or busy etc)

Really enjoyed that (apart from the losing bit 😉) overall - hope to play again soon.

Well you play solidly yourself. Though I gained a material advantage early on, you still had pieces placed in such a position that left me worried. Even a one pawn advantage means much more when there are fewer pieces on the board.

Forcing the Queen and Rook trade was a good tactical move - and really did for me. My main hope at that time was to try and feign an attack by my Queen on your right flank - though position the Queen to threaten the G7 pawn after trying to work your Knight around the G4 area with my Rook for a sneaky (and undeserved) checkmate 😃 (or force a mistake/advantage from it…)

As you say, after the Q & R exchange that early advantage and positioning has become more significant. Eeek! 😃
