STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

The guy is basically doing a one-man special edition--in fact he's arguably putting in even more work and care than the official SEs--so he can take as long as he likes as far as I'm concerned.

Been following this for a long while now. I'd say it's pretty far from a one-man operation anymore. Some things just require teamwork when a load is too heavy for one person.

Glad you guys are really liking what we are doing, it is very nice to read this, it does look like we are a big hit at B-T and that is great, with the true HD streaming you just cannot get any better then that, this Site ROCKS!!! and by this weekend I will have ALL our projects up for download and stream in 1080p, and I talked to Vinnie we will replace T1 and T2 with our versions, so thanks to Vinnie for that.

Again thanks guys, it really does mean a lot to us to read these nice comments.

You guys could have just done NotLD '90 and called it good, and I would've still been grateful, considering how botched the official release was! T1 and T2 turned out better than I could have expected. I still have yet to watch Maximum Overdrive, though I did download it already. Looking forward to all the future releases!

Alien/Aliens Color Regrade (a WIP)

I didn't know that they digitally erased the hole under Lance Henriksen on the Blu-ray. I vaguely remember Cameron speaking of that goof on the DVD commentary, and that he said that the way it's shot, you're not supposed to look there, so that's how he justified it. Now, I'll have to listen to the Blu-ray commentary to hear if it's still mentioned.

Why can't directors keep their movies the way they were? I'm beginning to wonder whether the digital technology is a blessing or not. Well, obviously it is, but it turns some directors into morons. Vast subject...

The fact that the first thing you said was "I didn't know..." tells me it was a successful digital fix, for what it's worth. I never knew about it either, but I'm glad they fixed it. It's such a small thing that I would never request an "original version" to be included where the hole still exists, just for the sake of having all previously released versions. What would it be called, anyway?

"Aliens: The Complete Hole Edition" ;P

Does anyone know where I can find this Doc?

Night of the Living Dead - 25th anniversary Documentary

It's on youtube, but that's about all I know. It's from a VHS source, however. I don't know if it was ever released on DVD or not.

I just found out it is on DVD, it is the bonus disc in the UK Trilogy of The Dead Box Set., we for sure will not use the youtube video form a VHS lol.

Awesome, I can appreciate that! I'd rather see it in the best quality possible.

We would to, but like with all our projects if no one can provide then it just will not get included, so why not help us help all to make the Ultimate NOTLD BD just like we did for the 1990 version?

I'd love to help. Unfortunately I don't have a copy, nor am I even in the UK, nor do I import often. Are you sure that it is the only way to get a DVD copy of that doc? There are so many releases of this film, it's ridiculous! I still want to help, so if there's anything I can do....

Info Wanted: Evil Dead (2013) Extended Edition - did anyone capture it?
Time

TripleHBK said:

So apparently last night a station in the UK ran a special extended edition of the Evil Dead (2013). It included extended sequences and an extended ending. By any chance did anyone on here happen to catch it and/or cap it. With it looking unlikely that a fully uncut version will ever officially be released, I'm hopeful that someone was able to capture the film and we can get it online for all. Here's a link to the clips in question.

http://bloody-disgusting.com/news/3330068/alternate-evil-dead-ending-aired-uk/

I read that article this morning also. First thing I thought of was this forum! I really hope it airs again and someone can capture it.

If I didn't know any better I'd say Frink maaaaad.

To stay on topic I see no issue with any cyans in Ady's attempt. I mean it'd be preferable if the color was perfect, but I'd at least have this over the Blu-Ray colors.

Technically, that is still off-topic. I know Ady brought it up, but still.

Will there be 4 separate threads created soon to follow the progress on the other movies? Or will there be 1 giant "Revisited Project" thread to track whatever is currently going on in the Adywan productions universe?

I don't think we've discussed it yet, but I would want to keep them separate, mostly so the people who don't care about his prequel edits can follow the RotJR news.

But that's up to Ady.

Then maybe a ROTJ:R thread and a PT:R thread. Just two might be fine, rather than 4 separate threads. Just a thought.

Info Thread: 3D Movies Preservation
Time

TripleHBK said:

This isn't my creation, it was given to me by another forum member "jsonthegreat" from Blu-ray.com shortly after the release of the collection.

The reason for the 2 separate sources (one DVD & One Blu Ray) is that one eye is from the dvd (I can't remember which, but let's call it the left) and one from the Blu Ray (Let's call it the Right). The reason is that when 3D is filmed with a dual camera setup 2 separate perspectives are created and For whatever reason, the DVD used the Left eye perspective, while the Blu Ray used the right eye perspective. The fact that both perspectives were available meant they could be assembled into a fully functioning Real 3d image, and not just one that was post processed into 3D.

Again, I didn't do any of the work myself, so I can't go into specifics beyond what I've said as I really don't know much more but from what I was told, the DVD was scaled and synced with the Blu Ray release.

I'm unaware if this was ever released publicly on any sites or newsgroups. The creator was banned from the forum shortly after talking about it, and I haven't seen him since. I was fortunate enough to be one of the few folks that got a copy prior to him getting the boot, so I really don't know how many other people have copies.

I'd be happy to share for those interested but need to find a viable method for sharing. I may try the sendspace multiple link route that TeamBlu has used in the past, as I don't want to permanently host a torrent, nor am I really interested in mailing out copies. With that said, I'll look into what other options I have, and see if I can't get this hosted somewhere.

One solution may be for interested parties to create their own mega.co.nz accounts as I believe I could transfer the files to new accounts from my my account without it counting towards individual bandwidth limits, but I'm not sure on that. The file is 11GB in size. I've used my Plex media server to stream it previously myself though I have a copy burned to bd-r as well. Ideally, someone would be interested in taking this and turning it into a full release with menu and extra's and possibly the 2D version all on a BD-50, but for now that's wishful thinking.

I'm excited at the possibility of seeing this! I hope you find a way to share, if possible.

Escape From New York [spoRv] *BD-25 RELEASED*

Nice, but I don't think it will outdo the work here which really gave this film some care for the first time ever. They re-did The Shadow from a new scan, and I still can't tell what the heck happened. Great, forgotten, underrated movie I've loved to death on DTS LD, and their new "scan" has deep color not before seen but is so filtered looking much of the detail is gone.

What I'm curious about is if this new disc will have better detail upon which a v.2 of the spoRv could be created, if there is interest?

This is coming in a new release from Scream Factory!

Glad I have this one !

Money saved and the perfect version in my collection !

If you want to save money, that's piracy, not preservation.

As I already own a truly flawed version of the movie on BluRay, I am not sure your point.

However, if you wish to throw around such blaten terms, I am not sure of your place on a board such as this.

Thought I'd hip you all to this:

Ady, can you give any details about this other project? Is it a Star Wars fan film?

Alas, Ady can't even tell the team what project it is. Very hush hush for some reason.

Most likely the filmmakers simply wish to handle promotion themselves, and have made it clear to the crew that it's not their job to talk about the project. It's not uncommon.
