STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time
I have always tried to take a life lesson from Empire Strikes Back in waiting situations like these. Luke left Dagobah too quickly. He should have been patient as Yoda instructed. Had he been patient, he would have discovered that Leia and company escape without his help and he becomes the person they have to go back for, endangering all of their lives - "If you leave now help them you could but...you would destroy all for which they have fought and suffered." Ady, I am glad to hear that you are being patient and not shooting off for Cloud City prematurely.

The edit will be all the better for it, anniversaries be damned. In fact, I don't recall good things happening on any Star Wars anniversary year. In 1997 we got the lousy SEs. In 1987 we got a Hamilton Collectors Plate collection and a poster (not bad, but kinda lackluster too). In 1992 (15th), we got a few reprinted posters. In 2002 (25th), we got Attack of the Clones - bleck!!!! I almost went blind that day.

It bodes WELL that the Revisited edit is not taking place on an anniversary year.

Eros, your idea of "taking interest" is sharpshooting everything anyone has to say with snide remarks. If you have constructive comments or criticism, I have yet to see them. For the record, a lot of the people behind this effort are not teenagers and while some of us might arguably be geeks, I've never considered that to be something negative. If there are teenagers posting here, then they've certainly been posting with more than a modicum of maturity and professionalism because the only two people that sound like petulant teenage punks around here are you and Remixer. Maybe you both should take a hint from these "teenagers."

Get in the game, either as a mature supporter or diplomatic critic, or take a hike and find something constructive to do.

Mark Hamill "ready to evacuate" his Malibu home.
Time
This almost happened to his home once before in the mid-1990s. I remember seeing the news clip. At that time, his house was miraculously spared while his neighbors were burned out. I remember the cheesy newsline from the reporter, "For Mark Hamill, the actor who played Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars movies, the Force was with him."

Hamill was then in a quick interview on the site of his home saying, "Yesterday they had homes and now they have nothing."

I hope his home is spared.

HotRod - LOL "handlessLuke"? There was some debate as to whether my name should have been "onehandluke" but I just like the way "nohandluke" sounded and it still gets the point across and it's not "nohandsluke," just one hand...

Ady', I totally agree with that assessment on this shot - Scientifically accurate motion of that planet would destroy the kinetic pace of the shot. I can't believe there's a criticism about something being unrealistic and stylized in a space movie where people are wielding lightsabers and laser blasters and spaceships seem to be able to turn on a dime in space without any reverse thrust -- These craft don't obey any of the laws of motion or space yet nary a peep about those - You want simulated space realism, go watch 2001....

I gotta agree with Troy - I think we've become spoiled with Ady's talents at times. Just having the fixes and enhancements we have on this one is truly exceptional. Can he fix it? Probably, but then again maybe not. Goodness knows what has to be deconstructed to do that, and he is a perfectionist so I'm certain he's looked at these shots 1,000 different ways - more than Lucas ever did...

There are people who are part of the problem, people who are part of the solution and people who are part of the scenery...I'd say that Remixer is part of the scenery....A really ugly dated building from the 1970s on the horizon -- And no one says parts of the scenery can't be bulldozed.

Remix, if you aren't jazzed about Adywan's work - and I'm sorry you suffer vision impairment (and/or are a Lucas sychophant) - then go find something else to do with your time. There are serious works being done here and no time for detractors.

Hey Ringo,

Just wanted to give some speculation on your very important question on what might happen if someone tries to claim this edit as their own. Usually jerks like that stick their neck out there, get noticed and get prosecuted for copyright infringement. Anyone who is staying "under the radar" and still trying to steal Ady's thunder will simply get flamed by someone who knows better, I would hope. Ultimately, there's not much anyone can do about credit thieves....sadly. I do think we should be sure to have a coordinated effort after Ady is done to troll other message boards and sites that are talking about it just to make sure a legitimate voice can quell any fraudulent claims. This already happened once on YouTube....

I am officially declaring myself a member of "The Adywan Entourage" and will act in his best interests after Revisited is released.
