Harmy's RETURN OF THE JEDI Despecialized Edition HD - V3.1
Time

Yep. GIYF. I'm pretty sure I found out about these versions from an article when I was searching around for a proper release of the OT. It took me a while to find all the links to the newest versions but seeing the differenve between SW 2.5 and this 1.0 version told me it was worth it. People ask though since there's no simple click-to-download and not every SW fan is great at tech. There are a bunch of broken links and a couple of bad torrents here and there so it does take some work even after being pointed in the right direction.

A color correction sample - the colors of the BD are unbelievably effed up - I had to try and match the colors of the N1 scan as precisely as possible here, because part of the previous shot from this angle is missing from the BD, so it had to be replaced by the scan and this one had to match as closely as possible.

Ow! So magenta! My eyes! Please, no more!

Oh, thank goodness for Harmy.

Okay, so I've nabbed all 3 movies' latest versions, and episodes 4 and 5 were ISO's which I was able to burn and play in a PS3. But episode 6 comes as a straight BDMV which I can't figure out how to get on to a playable disc. I've tried 3 times, even making sure to match the folder structure and permissions of eps 4 and 5, but still no luck. How do I get this thing to play in a PS3??

There are some specific format settings you need to use. If you use ImgBurn and point it to the BDMV folder, it will automatically be recognized as blu ray content and set itself up accordingly. Pop in a DVD DL disk and burn away.

See here for a step-by-step: http://www.aimersoft.com/how-to-burn/burn-bluray-with-imgburn.html

Thanks for making me aware there was an issue. I'm downloading now and will mux it in before burning the v1 I have to DVD9. Doing this since I assume there will at least go a few months before v2 comes out, and at that point I'll be moving to bluray using the mkvs.

EDIT:

Okay, the torrent is slow as molasses, and only includes the compressed version (Well, that's probably the version I want for strait inclusion I assume, so that doesn't matter)

Any chance of downloading from a share site instead? I couldn't find any links on tehparadox. :-\

Brilliant! Looking forward to v2! I want to burn a "definitive" OOT blu ray set built from the mkvs, so it'll be nice once this is out. In the mean time, I've got the DVD9 versions of all the latest that I want to watch with my friend on the 6th of January. I'm pretty sure he's only seen the 2011 version, so I'm excited to see his reaction. Even though 1.0 here isn't 100% and has some weird eyebrows in it, I'll still take it any day over the latest tweaks.

Speaking of the mkvs though, is there a reason the subtitles are included in srt format instead of sub? I thought the sub versions were the correct ones to use for viewing, and the srts are just there for tweaking or translating your own..? Not a big deal and I've downloaded the others separately; I'm just wondering what the reasoning was in advance of this release... unless I'm missing something.
