Help: looking for... Selutron's Superman II
Time

He never “finished” the project, but the last video he posted was a bunch of drawings with text to convey the idea (mostly editing and animation ‘notes’). I’d imagine an entire cut of the film with a lot of these unfinished scenes is what he showed Tom Mankewitz.

Yeah, I saw that. Someone here on this site needs to pick up the torch from him and complete this project, while also re-doing those clips now that VFX have come a long way since then (Adywan’s Revisited & Hal 9000’s edits).

I really like how he transitioned from the villains breaking free from the Phantom Zone, to Superman, Lois and Jimmy’s reunion, to the opening credits. Someone needs to do new opening and closing credits that are similar in style to the first film. I am disappointed that Warner Bros. spent so little money on reconstructing the Donner Cut, when they spent a ton of money to restore the final cut of Blade Runner, and especially more recently with Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League.

I know it wouldn’t be possible for only his prequel memories to be restored because in the later scene he recognizes Luke’s X-wing and realizes that doesn’t make much sense. So if we were to include his prequel memories getting restored it would have to be along with everything else. I suppose that also begs the question of why R2 didn’t give him those memories sooner over the past 50 years.

I suppose. I know that someone did a mockup of having Threepio mention Anakin or Padmé

If you remember at the end of Revenge of the Sith/Labyrinth of Evil, Bail Organa tells his commanding officer to wipe the protocol droids memory, they never mention R2 restoring C3PO’s memory until The Rise of Skywalker.

I know.

I created an account on this website only to thank you for this amazing job. I stumbled on your versions a couple of weeks ago when I was adding the audiobooks to my collection and I’ve been binge-listening to them along with the books so I could practice both listening and writing. I must say you have done a brilliant job!
I’m looking forward to the rest of the books.

Thank you very much, Diaz! I really appreciate it! I’m always touched to receive feedback such as yours from others as well. It means a lot to me.

And just in time for Hogwarts Day.

I wasn’t aware about Hogwarts Day actually.

The official event aired early this morning in the UK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jxzhv8SxGMo

Oh wow! That’s cool to hear. If there’s anything that I would want more for the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the first film’s release, it would be for Warner Bros to release more deleted scenes from the movies. I made an entire video all about the unreleased scenes, and I highly doubt Warner Bros will do something like this.

Does anyone know whether or not the script for the movie is online? Not the Duel of the Fates script by Colin Trevorrow. If it’s online, we might be able to see how the deleted scenes played out.

Also, I am currently busy wrapping up Book 5 of my Harry Potter project, but I want to ask everyone if you would like me to contact Speaking of AI about his trained model of Adam Driver. I will also start searching for resources of Sebastian Shaw.

I wonder, has there been any word from that YouTuber who had trained his own Adam Driver AI? I think you said he was revising his algorithm or something when we requested a few different lines a while back?

I haven’t heard back from him yet. I could try contacting him again, if you’d all like. I’m just afraid of possibly pissing him off for asking about doing the “You’re just a clone” line and others.

Going back to that ReSpeech software, if you can clone a voice and have it speak based on a recording of someone else’s voice, would it be possible to replace Ewan McGregor’s voice with Alec Guinness’, Hayden Christensen’s with Sebastian Shaw’s and Ashley Eckstein’s with Rosario Dawson’s?

I know that this idea sounds very unlikely, but it would be neat to try out. Along with doing this with Obi-Wan’s “These are your first steps” from The Force Awakens.

Do you think it might be good to look for footage of Sebastian Shaw from other material so Jon H. can use it as a resource if he does a version of Anakin’s ghost portrayed by Shaw?

<em>REY NOBODY</em> - A Collaborative Thread

An idea I had today was to make the reveal that Kylo and Rey are a dyad. Could that work?

I feel like it would fall flat. The audience doesn’t know what “a dyad in the Force” even is, let alone its significance to them as characters.

Yeah, not much weight to a reveal such as that. I still think that attempt someone put together on the thread here where it’s revealed that Rey will kill Palpatine and take the Sith throne works well.
