Hey, Master Lawdog

I just want to say thanks for all the work you’ve put into this project. You’ve greatly enhanced the experience of reading the books for me. I’m currently on chapter 13 of the Half-Blood Prince and I can hardly wait for when you release Deathly Hallows.

I also want to say that you’ve actually inspired me to tackle a similar project. As I’m writing this I’ve actually begun working on making similarly enhanced editions of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings by editing Howard Shore’s music from Peter Jackson’s film adaptations to match up to the Andy Serkis narrated audiobooks. I’m currently on chapter 1 of The Hobbit, and almost 14 minutes in, I think it’s going pretty well so far.

That’s great to hear! I’m happy that you’re enjoying this project. I had no idea that Andy Serkis did audiobooks for Tolkien’s work.

I don’t blame you. They’re fairly recent releases. Yes, he does his Gollum voice from the films. Obviously. And yes. It’s amazing. Really looking forward to editing Riddles in the Dark.

Have you ever considered also using the music from the video game tie-ins, as well as from Bakshi and Rankin/Bass’ adaptations? It will give you more music to use, which is what I did for Harry Potter.

@masterlawdog It seems that the Half Blood Prince has mysteriously disappeared from internet archive. I suspect the Nargles are behind it. would you be kind to upload it again ❤️

I plan on uploading all of them back onto Archive real soon. I’m currently working on finishing Deathly Hallows. I’ve just finished the Gringotts heist.

It seems that I’ve interrupted a deep thought, haven’t I? I can see it growing smaller in your eyes. That is an amazing progress, can’t wait for it to be released. Kindly let me know when you reupload them, I just finished the Order of the Phoenix and I got used to listening to your edits before I sleep ❤️.

I am very happy to hear that, Ms. Lovegood.

Hold up, why are the House of Blue Leaves scenes placed after The Bride’s coffin escape and fight with Elle? She goes from the American west to Japan just like that? With different hair and all? Must be jarring, it’s been a while since I’ve seen them so idk

The reason as to why this was done is because her fight against the Crazy 88 is the biggest action piece in the entire film. Typically, the most amount of action occurs in the third act. This was done in order to help the narrative feel more traditional.

I just finished listening to all 6 books and I absolutely love them with all the added music and sound effects! Thanks so much for doing these!

Any idea of when the 7th book will be completed? I’m debating on just listening to the regular audiobook, but if yours will be done soon, I would much rather listen to it!

I’d say to expect a Christmas release at the latest. I know that I’ve been pushing an estimated release date and all, but I’ve been busy with other things. It can also be tough to stay in the Harry Potter mood for a while as well.

If only everything that done for the whole bloody affair version minus the stuff you cut out that was available in the whole bloody affair as well as the original versions was available. 😦

This is not meant to recreate Tarantino’s The Whole Bloody Affair. This is meant to restructure Kill Bill in a more satisfying and linear format, based off of James Rolfe’s video essay.

No what I meant was this but with the new whole bloody affair scenes and the one scene that’s in color in the whole bloody affair as part of it other than that everything else is the same. If that footage was available and you don’t like that idea for your edit I understand just an idea that’s all.

I’m not aware of the exclusive scenes found within The Whole Bloody Affair.

Yeah there’s an exclusive anime scene in it and the one scene that was in black in white is in color don’t remember what the other changes were but yeah. it’s too bad we don’t have an official release of it on uhd blu ray yet. 😦

That’s from the Japanese version of Volume 1, I believe.

Yeah I know but I’m also talking waiting for a uhd blu ray that not only includes that but all the additions he added for the whole bloody affair version.

We’ll see what Tarantino decides for the future.
