Which dooooes beg the question, which color space is the DeEd rendered in? RGB or YUV/Rec? It would actually help me decide where I end up re-playing this.

mediainfo is the tool you need, but it reports for me:

Color space                              : YUV
Chroma subsampling                       : 4:2:0
Bit depth                                : 8 bits

There are three options in the first post, MySpleen, JDownloader or google for some checksums.

I am guessing most people want to use torrent, because they are familiar with it and have a bittorrent client anyway. But you can't get a response from MySpleen. Moving on...

WTF is JDownloader anyway? Never used it before and never likely to use it again. Don't want it. Moving on...

Googling those checksums isn't that helpful, what is really needed is the torrent checksum 756A3641E063D773ADFF18BFC73E0901FA14C24F which I posted a few pages back. Googling that DEFINITELY finds a live torrent.

I'm playing version 2.5 for the first time using Cyberlink PowerDVD 14.

Fantastic all the way around...and I'm able to play every single audio track, including the commentaries except one: the "English 1.0 DTS-HD-MA 1977 35mm mono mix". When I select it the audio goes silent.

May not seems like a big deal but the theater I saw SW in as a kid ( 10 times) played the mono track and that's the one I want to hear. Anyone else experience issues with the mono track?

Works fine on kodi (what used to be xbmc) playing via hdmi into an LG TV.

As has been suggested, try some other playback software.

i must be really unlucky guys because I'v been trying to get this for over a year now with no success. I'v tried googling 756A3641E063D773ADFF18BFC73E0901FA14C24Fuwith no success - it goes to a site but then when you try and download it, it times out.

I do have a Myspleen account and I've had Bit Torrent open for over 24 hours but no-one's seeding. Could someone pretty, pretty please seed it??? I'll leave my computer on permanently to let others download it too, I'm that desperate to download this.

PLEASE!!! :)

Googling the hash does not "go to a site" - it presents 10 pages of search results linking to various torrent sites which have a copy of the torrent you can download. Any of the ones on the first page should work and no membership required. Sometimes it can take a while to get peers, but they are certainly there. Me for example.

However if you have a myspleen account, you shouldn't need to do that because it is apparently well seeded there. If you aren't able to download it then I respectfully suggest that there is something very wrong with your bittorrent setup. There are any number of reasons it might not work, faulty or banned client, ISP blocking torrent traffic, router/firewall blocking torrent traffic, etc etc etc.

I use rtorrent and have no difficulties at all, but rtorrent is a linux thing. I wouldn't have a clue what torrent client is currently good on windows.

PS many of those torrent sites have a link to download the movie direct, and another link to download the .torrent file. I recommend against the direct download links as they often ask you to install some very dodgy looking downloader software. Get the torrent and use a torrent client you trust.

Do people still use DVD/Bluray players do they? How quaint!

Yes, some still do; myself included.

Is your TV calibrated to sRGB then? Did you calibrate it relative to the input signal from the HTPC or did you calibrate it independently? Which probe do you use?

Are you feeding it from a playback unit (e.g., the Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Mini Monitor) or directly from your video card?

Video cards are damn unreliable when it comes to critical viewing on a calibrated setup.

I sure hope you're doing things right considering the amount of dick measuring you have going on in your post.

Sorry my post was meant to be light hearted. You have showed me how inadequate my setup is.

I am just so used to doing without silver discs, that I am surprised these days when people talk about them.

No offence intended.

Why would you even try to watch the AVCHD on a computer?  Isn't the whole point of that format to put HD on a physical DVD9?

I watch everything on a computer.

It happens to be a media computer attached to my 65 inch TV, but it is still a computer.

Hi everybody, I have just downloaded the AVCHD version of ESB DeEd 2.0 and it's giving me some problems.  The iso isn't corrupted because I checked the md5sum.

When I mount the iso (with WinCDEmu mounter) and then open the virtual driver with MPC-HC (either by selecting "Open DVD/BD", " Open disc" or just by manually opening /BDMV/STREAM/00000.m2ts), the movie starts, but as soon as I try to change the audio or video track or I select one of the available subtitles, or I just jump to another part of the movie, then either MPC-HC freezes or only the audio is playing.

If I try VLC, then the video appears corrupted for 1-2 seconds and then it corrects itself, but at the end of the credits (when the original credits finishes and Harmy's custom credits fades in) the audio repeats the last seconds over and over.

TSMuxer doesn't detect the chapters.  I needed to copy them from an earlier post written by Harmy in this thread.  And yet in MKVmerge they still doesn't appear *sigh*

Oh, did I say the final mkv also has the same problems as the iso?  Except that this time it either freezes in both MPC-HC and VLC, or it starts playing the opening (without sound) or more weird things happens.  And of course no chapters :/

EDIT: For the mkv I applied the 42ms delay in MkkVmerge as suggested by other users.

I'm not sure what I am doing wrong, or what's the problem with the iso.  Any help?

PD: Love the new despecialized shots with the older, original special effects and colors, and the better image quality.  That's an impressive dedication and love for the film, all for free.  Thank you Harmy for the awesome stuff.

makemkv should be able to rip losslessly (and preserving chapters) to an mkv file.

Hi everyone, I'm new here and I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but how do I download the movie?

I found this post pretty helpful.

Torrented the mkv last night.  I'm looking forward to watching it on my projector.

The torrent is at [deleted. see next two posts]

I wonder if Harmy might update the first post to point

I have seeded to 20x so far and am still going. That kickass page is reporting 50 seeders and 69 Leechers.
