Star Wars: Clone Wars (The Legends Cut) - A 2003-2005 Cartoon Network 2D Micro-Series-to-Movie Edit
Time

I watched this edit and generally really enjoyed it, I’ll say that towards the end of the first part I was getting exhausted by the breakneck pace, but realize that this was pretty much how the source material was - like it was a series of intense action scenes and I’m not really sure how this could be fixed given what’s available. Despite that it was really cool to see this as a full coherent film, and I wish Gennedy had gotten to do way more in the star wars universe. I’ve never been too fond of Filoni series and find the CGI ugly (I’m trying to watch it but its still not grabbing me). This is the best way to see the clone war, just pretend its fully cannon.

ANDOR: The Rogue One Arc (Rogue One Rescore) [AVAILABLE]
Time

Thank you for doing this!

I loved the edits a ton, my favorite parts were the dream sequence / flashback Jyn had with her dad / the imperials, how Darth Vader was introduced in this version where it actually felt menacing instead of like bloated fanservice, and of course the split ending of ep three with Andor’s finale being before the credits and the pre-new hope stuff post credits.

about the only complaint I had soundtrack wise was using the prison escape music on Eadu, it just didn’t quite fit, though that might just be partially be me just absolutely adoring that music in its original context and seeing it elsewhere makes me feel strange because its quite literally in my favorite scene in all of Andor.

The only other critique is that scene with R2D2 and C3PO, it always kind of annoyed me in a this is excessive fanservice kind of way. I guess its more justified than most of the fanservice because it kind of establishes that a new hope is going to be setup soon, though the dialogue between Mon Mothma and Bail Organa about him returning home and having someone to work with him that he very much trusts (Leia), kind of do the same thing but a little less in your face about it.

The general vibe of the whole thing felt a lot grittier and more in the mud than the original, this was good and made the film (well episodes here) overall more engaging. Looking forward to what you do now that season 2 is done.
