There’s a bunch of different versions.
Main one on the site is probably Harmy’s Despecialized (SW 2.7 (with help from towne32), ESB 2.0, ROTJ 2.5). There’s threads detailing those.
Those 3 have been made into nice Blurays by NJVC, there’s a big thread on that. And a thread about distributing those from solkap.

Then there’s the new 4k77 for SW. There’s a thread on that.
There’s the Silver Screen Edition of SW. And a Grindhouse of ESB (and the Dreamastered colour correction of that). And I think a ROTJ Grindhouse as well?
Thread’s on all of those too, I imagine.

Probably some other versions I’ve missed.

So maybe a first step is to go look at all those threads and decide which version(s) you want?

You say there is a thread for the 4k77 edition but I am going around in circles here. How does one obtain it? I loved the original despecialised edition. Really interested in seeing the new remaster.

Wow, that’s a 6 year old post you are quoting 😃.

For 4k77, the easiest way is is to go to the first post of the 4k77 thread, there’s a link to another forum (thestarwarstrilogy) where that project was worked on. There’s also an invite code, etc.
https://originaltrilogy.com/topic/4K77-Released/id/60815

If you don’t want to go there for some reason, you can pm me and I can send you the links.
It’s just a bit of a pain as there are different options for each film, and they’re all explained over there . If you aren’t sure which versions you want, we’d have to figure it out.

Alternatively they should all be on myspleen, if you happen to have an account.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but speaking of MySpleen is there anybody who could PM me an invite? I keep checking periodically to see if registration is still open.

A few clips of a 35mm scan are on YouTube (the NLC logo and a section of the Coco Bongo scene, they look GREAT), so I expect at least one scan is out there. If anyone does have a copy of the scan, I’d love to pay for one. I didn’t know this was being funded until it was too late and would love to get my hands on it. If anyone could help me out, I’d be very grateful!
