I know there is discussion of about the missing “Wait” in the stereo version of the film, but I’m not sure that the vhs versions were correct either.
I remember:
During “I’ve Got A Golden Ticket,” as they are starting to finish the song, they round the back corner of the table, and Mrs. Bucket yells “Wait!” Then the song finishes.
On vhs, she doesn’t say it until the song is over.
On dvd and blu-ray, she doesn’t say it at all.
You can actually hear a dropout in the place I remember it…Charlie stops singing at this point.
Only a tv recording pre-1984 (or a Disney Channel recording) or a film print can confirm whether or not I am correct.
