Just saw this, and straight off - apologies if I overstepped. I didn’t realize a) Hal was trying to get out of the game and b) this could be construed as putting a buncha stuff on his plate. I was basically just getting the ideas on their feet to see if they’d work and/or what you guys thought of seeing them as audio/video and not just theory. I’ve fully re-edited the end of Maarva’s funeral speech from Andor Season One, Episode Twelve to restore the original, uncensored line: “Fuck the Empire.” — directly in the episode.

This is the raw, unfiltered version, the one that carries the full weight of her defiance. I’ve integrated it cleanly into the episode, preserving the momentum, pacing, and emotional crescendo of the speech.

This isn’t just about a stronger word. It’s about restoring the intent — the rage, the grief, the fire that fuels rebellion. This is Maarva speaking without restraint, calling out oppression with the clarity and fury it deserves.

I’ve imported this into the 12th episode because it was done so well! I wanted to ask your permission if I could post the episode on my drive it for everyone here and on reddit? (And DM to get it of course!)

I’ve been working on this edit for a the past couple of weeks using Cole Edit’s cut as a base scenario wise, the soundtrack of some scenes, the esthetic of the end credits, while making a lot some changes and addition to the soundtrack, the intent is pretty much the same while keeping some small aspect like Loomis’s book and how the other characters feel about it, also the nudity, keeping some of the shock value intended by Rob Zombie, with parts of the first act of Halloween II, I’ve managed to get the runtime to 1H50, a link will be available via DM in a few hours, maybe less, you’ll just have to PM me if you’re interested to check the edit out!

Sooo haven’t done an edit list but i can write the gest of what i did, first of all the backstory of Michael is left vague, he doesn’t talk, he snaps the night he kills his sister, but we can see that his sister is ride and physical hitting him when he wears the mask, that and the environment in the house seem to suggest that he didn’t grew up in the best condition but it’s still vague, then i added back the theatrical prison escape, i kept Loomis’s motivation from the original cut when it comes to his book, characters will still refer to it, but we see that he goes through a selfless arc ending with him trying to hold Michael off when he chases Laurie in the house, I made Laurie a bit more introverted, cutting her sexual jokes, and being more embarrassed about the idea of having a date with Ben Tramer, then I’ve put the first act of Halloween 2 almost intact minus Sherry Moon Zombie and the white horse, Laurie’s story ends in a cynical way with a session with her psychiatrist, then we cut to Michael still alive in the wild, then cutting to black hearing him just breathing, a lot of my edit uses Cole Edit’s Fan Cut as a base scenario wise, but adding back, using my own visuals, and reinstate some of Rob Zombie’s signature into the movie, I’ve also done some wonders with the soundtrack.

I’ve been following the work you guys did on the fan edit for awhile and I’m so at awe with what was accomplished, i had a suggestion i was thinking of if you’re looking for extra shots to use that might add to the story, it’s a scene of only a few seconds at the end of this fan film (after the credits) where we see Kylo who’s about to take off his mask in his quarter before being interrupted, he receives news about a lead on the map to Luke, but it could easily be changed to something else, it would serve as teasing us and make us wonder who is he, before the revelation of being Han’s son, i find the fan edit nice but still bland in some aspects but the after credit scene definitely feels like something that would fit in The Force Awakens

Yeah I think it needs a bit more polishing on the VFX and a bit of editing to make it flow smoothly on the movie, other than that, I’m lovin it!

Sounds really promising, i’ll love to see the final workprint of this project, do you plan to finish the VFX of the Finn and Phasma deleted scene??

I have a little nitpick with the force ghost scene in the final battle in the movie, am I the only one who thinks it would make more sense to have Sebastian Shaw, the original actor who played Anakin in the ending of ROTJ, instead of Hayden Christensen? We have an old Obi Wan, and old Luke, but Anakin who is the grandfather of Luke is still young, it’s just a little nitpick in my part, it doesn’t work that much for me, other than that, the edit and concept of that scene is still fantastic, and I’m a big fan of the work that has been done by the fan edit community, it’s fantastic!

Has anyone thought of using this as the ending of the movie? The music and everything make it more powerful than the original one.
