Dunkirk (2017)
I just saw Dunkirk in 70mm. A very different War Movie, which looks absolutely gorgeous. It’s not very plot-heavy, but pretty exciting with an amazing score.

I recently tried to embed a image into my post, but i’m not completely sure, where i should upload the image. Google Drive doesn’t seem to work proberly and I have also some problems with imgur. (And yes i read the Markdown)

Over here in Germany some copyshops offer disc printing. I paid about 15 Dollar for 3 discs with 3 different printings (only for the prints). But I don’t know if this matches your demands as you want to make more than one set. Other I would follow timemeddlers idea with a own printer. They aren’t too expensive anymore.
I burned several Blu Rays in the last two years and i never had any problems. I always buy the cheapest on amazon (.de/Germany) and they were always pretty decent. (Verbatim, Primeon and Sony) 1 out of about 30 Discs was broken. I believe it was a Sony Disc. But this seems to be normal. As long as you use the recommended writing speed, their shouldn’t be any problems.

In my opinion it makes a difference, but not a huge different. There are also other (and more important) factors like a good printer. If you only want to print custom slipcovers, you can actually use white (non-recycled) paper or go with glossy photo paper. As long as you don’t use rather thin recycled paper, you can’t really do anything wrong. The only problem with standard photo paper is, that you can’t really print on both sides. Some covers have artworks on the inside, which are absolutely beautiful and this can be complicated with photo paper. I hope I was able to help you. Have a nice day!

As an alternative to the classic villain theme, i made something like they did for Episode V. If someone would use this i would also try make the Star Wars Logo look better.

Sidenote: Some of them are steelbooks, so i somehow begun digitilizing my movies to protect the cases. My whole collection is about 20TB of data (not all encoded).
Working on a set for the Despecialized Blu-ray set I’m putting together. I’m trying to go simple. I’ve used quite a few posts in here for inspiration! Thank you all for the great work, and for sharing it with everyone. When I’m done of course I’ll make the high-res versions for anyone who might care.
Although I have very nice covers, i really like the simplicity of yours. Especially the “Despecialized Edition” Logo at the front looks stunning. Great work.

Ein wirklich schönes Projekt. Ich konnte zwar nie in den Genuss kommen “Star Wars” als “Krieg der Sterne” zu sehen, da ich einfach noch ein paar Jahre zu jung bin, allerdings würde ich das echt gerne Mal nachholen. Wenn mir jemand dabei helfen könnte, wäre dies super lieb. 😃
PS: Ich würde mich natürlich auch über die anderen zwei Teile freuen, falls dies möglich wäre.
A very beautiful project. I could never watch the “original german version” of Star Wars (before the name change in Germany), because i’m a bit to young. I really would enjoy to change this. If someone could help me, i would be very thankful. 😃
PS: If it’s possibly, i also would like the rest of the german trilogy.
