Hey Harmy! This is my first post on the forum (and english isn’t my first language so sorry in advance), but I felt like thanks to your work was in order 😃 I’m only a recent fan of Star Wars, only ever since I saw The Force Awakens actually. Now I know some of you here will argue that it wasn’t anything special, but for someone like me who knew nothing about star wars, this was a GREAT re-introduction to the universe. Most of what I knew about the whole franchise came from Battlefront 2. But man as soon as I saw TFA, i went home and immediately bought digital copies of the previous six movies, binge-watched them, and fell in love with the whole thing. However I also noticed how weird the CGI that was added looked on top on the original footage, which led me on a search for an unaltered copy of the trilogy, which at the time I didn’t know whether it even existed or not. But a lot of reading and searching finally lead me here, and I’m really grateful for your work! As a pretty young fan both in age (only 18!) and in first introduction to the fandom, I just wanted to honestly thank you for the hard, hard work you’ve put into making these editions of the movie. There’s no other way to put it, thanks for allowing younger people like me the opportunity to enjoy the movies the way they were first revealed to the public. I honestly think the CG add-ons have their merits, which is why I also have a copy of adywan’s, but just having the opportunity to preserve this movie in its original 70s brilliance is just, for a lack of a better word, awesome! Which is why I’m also currently downloading negative1’s copy, crazy how star wars has taken over my life!
But that’s beside the point, again, many many thanks to your work Harmy! Really excited for what comes next now that negative1’s scans are out! Best of luck, and may the Force be with us all 😉
