Another reason why I don't use this forum much and stick with the Facebook updates... BITCHINESS! It eludes the point that we're here to celebrate "ESB:R" and support one man in these difficult times. I've been on and off OT for 4-5 years - can people just take the petty squables in private messages or block the offending muppets. Donate, debate, suggest or praise - if not either - take it with a pinch of salt (or) take your thumb out of your a** and bitch elsewhere! Anyhoo - time to make the missus a cuppa!

PM sent.

Also, is the Tartan DVD the ONLY source for the original audio? do the old US laserdiscs or VHS have it? I can find no info on this either.

The original audio is present on the first original releases on VHS, Laserdisc, Betamax and Hi-8. Subsequent later releases had the audio changed due to license restriction. But with VHS - Hi Grade tape was never used so the quality won't be crystal clear (unless using a S-VHS player) or Laserdisc can suffer "Laser Rot".

EXCEELLENT! I'm glad you tackled the project! There are a number of people (including me hugely) who weren't happy with O' Bannon's 2002 sound mix. REALLY Looking forward to seeing it. But - quick questions: *Is the Francis Haines/Matt Clifford score devoid of SFX in the rear channels? *For "Panzer Rollen Afrika Vor" (Ernie's Nazi Anthem on his Walkman), has this been replaced opposed to the original mix? (The MGM/O' Bannon mix didn't sound right).

Thanks for that heads up, I actually have not even watched any of the extras yet, been working on the audio, and I will let you know if I need any more help, you can count on that.

No worries. We all do it for a love of 245 Trioxin (and the Force) LOL!

I'm all for this and I am a huge fan of ROTLD. I haven't bought the US Blu-Ray yet (My Blu-Ray Drive died) but I have seen it and own almost every available version available. I'd say go with the 5.1 MA mix - but make sure you reinstate the original voice of the Tar-Man (Can be found on the The Dead Have Risen Documentary in clearer form).
