The Good The Bad & The Ugly - 35MM IB Tech Preservation! (+ lots of info) (FINISHED)

Reel 1 has 11 seconds of extra footage of Stevens exchanging glances with AE and his son while AE is standing in the entrance way....This print also includes 11 seconds of the "skeleton shot" AND the FULL Tuco torture scene! The same version that was lost due to negative damage and was only included as a MGM DVD/BD extra.

Very very interesting. I have followed the discussion in the leone forum, too.
So, this print confirms the conclusions from the censorship documents.

You mentioned nine differences between the Italian and the International version in the leone forum. I own three German VHS and a TV capture from the 80s. They all have this nine differences.
Beside the TV Capture, they also all have a fixed version of the Tuco Torture Scene, which means that some parts of sentences of AE, Tuco and the soldier are repeated. That sounds crazy, but this patch works pretty well in German.
In later DVD and TV versions this repeated parts were redubbed by other voice actors. And this parts are identical to the missing ones from the Spanish version of the Torture Scene, as seen in the youtube video you have posted in the leone forum.
So, the German version maybe was censored the same way as the Spanish one.

By the way, in the "Kitty scene dubbed" thread of the leone forum, you asked about the original joke in the sentence: "I bet they don't call you Angel Eyes. Seargent Angel Eyes".
Well, Sentenza is not the name of Angel Eyes, it is just a nickname too. Sentenza means sentence in the sense of verdict or judgement in Italian.

Is there an intermission included on this glorious IB Tech Print?

The last pic is very close to the colors of the old italian DVD of GBU.
Well, I don't know whether it is the lack of color correction to a carbon arc light source or the print has been damaged, but it looks like there is to much magenta in the first pics.
Despite the fact, that the film restorer posted this comparison, the colors of his restaurations of the first dollar movies look more like mondo.
I personaly prefer the colors of the mondo Blu-ray, but I am very excited how your print will look like, when it is color corrected to a carbon arc.

Hi, thats my first post here.

I am a fan of GBU, and I am very disappointed by the colors of the new 4k MGM master. So, it is great that you guys found this rare 35mm IB Tech print as color reference and maybe source of some lost scenes.

In a german Blu-ray forum a professional film restorer, who did the restaurations for the DVD editions of "A Fistfull of Dollars" and "For a Few Dollars More" also criticised the colors of the new MGM BD. He posted this comparison. Maybe it can be used also as indication for how the colors of the 35mm IB Tech print should look like:
