Can't we just pretend Superman Returns doesn't exist? what a horrible mess of a storyline that turned out to be.

I thought it was a decent movie. I had expected more, but it was enjoyable. I only blame Bryan Singer for not including all deleted scenes on the disc, like the return to krypton.

hahahaha. Still I'm hoping that someone kind find a way (be it in a Superman 2 fanedit, or the Ultimate Superman 3/4 combi movie) to tie in the story with Superman Returns... Lois has no memory of who Clark is and that Jason was Superman's son.

I'm downloading this fanedit now.

I can imagine. I have posted my first fanedit there, and if I don't run my torrent program for just 1 or 2 days (like iwith Christmas), then people already starting bitching that it's not seeded :S

You can find a lot of stuff on Demonoid, but sometimes it feels like the community there has not much patience.

That's too bad. I might buy this DVD when it becomes a cheapie, instead of buying it immediately when it's released for a high price.

Long time no see huh? How did you end up here?

Hope of the Future; ah, I remember know. Heh, it "has" been a long time. Too bad the T3 boards are shut down. I'm still pissed that the board administration would not accept my T3 fan art. They woudn't even tell me if it violated copyright or not.

Hey, you should check out the Terminator Files forum if you want to talk about Terminator, etc. A part of the old T3 community has moved over to that forum since the sudden closure of the T3 forum.

Spider Man 2 Extended Cut - In January on FX (Clips Released)
Time
Did someone watch this, record this and put this online?

edit:

here's what someone posted who saw the cut on tv:

Here's what I saw:

- the swing after Spider-Man grabs the pizzas from the guy on the balcony was about a second longer... Spidey started from a higher-up position.

- the saturation/filter of the film was slightly different... in some scenes, the red was brighter... and it seemed as if the color blue was standing out more

- there was different dialogue between mj and peter in the 'backyard' scene:
mj talks about how the photographer liked her face, and how she got the role in the play... peter says that mj's dream came true... mj asks about how he is doing... he says he is fine..... it then cuts back to old footage...
then, mj says "you want to say something... I know what it's like to want to say something but it just won't come out" yada yada...
a little later, there is a new full body shot of them just standing there; it looked very random and I'm glad it got cut......
mj says she is seeing someone and peter says "oh, therapy"....
When mj walks away at the end of the scene, there is an extra shot of peter standing alone at the fence.........
^ this whole backyard sequence wasn't very impressive... you could tell what was new and what wasn't, because the final cut material looked different (it had a glossy-ness to it, so the other shots looked out of place).... I agree that this version was less awkward between the two of them, but it was so corny and poorly acted on mj's part... it didn't feel like the 'movie' her.

- right after this is a new shot of Peter driving home in his "scooter-thing" ... it shows him lock it up and then walk into the front door of his complex.

- there was a longer pause between harry's line: "see you in sweden" and otto's line "interesting fellow, your friend" (peter and otto wait for harry to leave)

- mr. ditkovich yelled more random foreign stuff when peter ran off... (this was when he had no pants on)

- the two criminals, during the play sequence, shouted a few more one-liners... there was also an extra shot of a police car being smashed (just a new angle, actually)....
As the criminals shot at spider-man, the whole "dodging bullets against a wall" shot went from about 1.5 seconds to 3 seconds.

- right after mj leaves the theater (after checking to see if peter is sitting across the street), there is a longer shot of the police cars approaching.

- peter has a "bigger" reaction to the height (in the scene where his powers start failing)

- peter has an extra line about his feelings for mj in the pay-phone sequence.

- when the pins go into otto's back during the demonstration, there is only a single shot of them going in, instead of a double...
he also has a slight struggle when using them at first... (it takes about two seconds longer for them to start working)

- there was a shot of the demonstration's machine where it had a bright blue base... not sure if this is new or not, but I never noticed it before.... perhaps an effect of the different saturation?

- harry looks over for peter when the demonstration starts to go wrong... only to find that he is not there...
the line "everybody clear the room!" is followed by that.... which is in a slightly different spot.

- right before the glass windows burst and kill otto's wife, there is an extra shot of what appears to be the machine pulling the windows with some kind of force...
there is another extra shot of otto reacting to this "force"

- when spider-man pulls the plugs on the demonstration machine, we see it in a lot more angles... about three.

- there was a "controversary" a while back about the hospital cross being red when it should really have been green, so it was changed..... well, this version had a red one though.... uh-oh!

- in the hospital scene, there was an extra two seconds of the tentacles holding people and the people struggling to get loose......... at the end of the scene, there was about an extra five seconds of hesitation before the final guy was smashed in the face... I kinda liked it more this way... it human-ized the arms a bit better.

- harry said an extra sentence before he slapped peter in the face... it wasn't anything amazing though, and I already forget it.

- when the car goes into the cafe, there is an extra shot of the car knocking the table (and everything on it) to the ground.

All of the new stuff was pretty much in the beginning... the second half of the movie was the same.

Spider-man 3 footage: the only shot that was new was a quick glimpse of sand-man turning his head around... nothing impressive.

from another post, the extended backyard conversation between peter and mj:
MJ: Hey

Pete: Hey. I saw your billboard on Bleaker.

MJ: Isn't it funny. I'm really kind of embarrased.

Pete: Don't be. It's nice. I get to see you everyday now.

MJ: The photographer liked my face. I was only supposed to be in the catalog. Then I got the part in the play. Everything at once.

Pete: Your dream came true.

MJ: How about yours?

Pete: I'm......fine.

MJ: I wish you'd come see the play. You're the one who always encouraged me.

Pete: I plan to. *long pause*

MJ: I liked seeing you tonight Peter.

Pete: Oh boy yeah.

MJ: Oh boy yeah what?

Pete: Nothing.

MJ: I know the feeling. Sometimes you wanna say something but it won't come out.......You wanna say something?

Pete: I....was.... wondering....if you're still... in the village.

MJ: You're such a mystery. *touches Peter's face*

MJ: Peter

Pete: What?

MJ: ...........Happy Birthday.

MJ: I'm seeing somebody now.

Pete: Oh......Therapy

MJ: No a person, a man.

Pete: You mean, like like a boyfriend.

MJ: I mean, like, I like him. What?

Pete: Nothing. *ahem* That's good....you know...companionship

MJ: It maybe more than that.

Pete: More?

MJ: I don't know.

Pete: Hey, I'm gonna come see your play tomorrow night.

MJ: Your...your coming?

Pete: I'll be there.

MJ: Don't disappoint me.

Pete: I won't.

I thought you were refering to only the official releases.

I have seen ADM's fanedit, but it's not a major change/cut. He just added 1 scene to the movie. Like he has already stated, he wanted a cut of the movie that did have the T-1000 searching John's room, but not the alternate ending, like the Ultimate Edition cut has. I like that he has done this cut, but my favorite cut is still the special edition.

Actually, I have been thinking about doing a fanedit of T2. Not to improve, T2 is already a masterpiece, but more like an alternate cut. I have been thinking of doing a new opening scene, but now with the footage of the T2 teaser (same that was used in my T3 T-HOPE ed.). But I dropped this idea, because in my opinion T2 doesn't need to be improved, or some alternate cut. It's already perfect the way exists nowadays. People can even choose 3 viewing modes on the (region 1) Terminator 2 Ultimate Edition:
a) theatrical edition (137 min.)
b) special edition (152 min.)
c) ultimate edition (154 min.)
So no, I don't think I will do a T2 Alternate Cut or something like that.

The best T2 version in my opinion? The first time I saw T2, it was the BBC cut, which removes some violent scenes and add some scenes frmo the special edition to get the same runtime. Sort of a hybrid of the theatrical edition and the special edition I guess. So I both like the theatrical edition and the special edition. If I had to choose between those two, I think I would go for the special edition. It includes some great scenes and character development. Also, Kyle Reese return in this cut, which is also a big plus!

The Matrix Reloaded - T-HOPE Extended Edition (* unfinished project *)
Time

This will be most likely my next project after I have worked on my Terminator 3 T-HOPE Edition NTSC version.

http://home.planet.nl/~huijs090/tmp/matrix2hope.jpg
The path of the One is made by the many.

This will only be an extended edition, nothing more. I know this won’t have many fans, because many people think that Matrix Reloaded was already too “stretched out.” Also, the added scenes will not focuss on Neo, Trinity or Morpheus, but on the Enter The Matrix characters Ghost and Niobe. Still there’s some background information that helps understanding the plot.

What will be added? Scenes from:

 • Animatrix - Final Flight of the Osiris
 • Enter the Matrix

Some of the Enter The Matrix scenes will be switched to a later point in the movie, because some parts are lame to put in too early. Another thing is the Oracle. The original actress died after filming Matrix Reloaded, but before filming Enter the Matrix. So I have to switch those Oracle scenes to a later point in Reloaded, because otherwise she would have to have her original shell storywise. Same things happen for scenes in Enter The Matrix. For example, there’s a scene in Reloaded in which is told that the machines have 9 hours:
ZION WOMAN: An hour, maybe.
LOCK: That’d give them a little over 9 hours.
ZION WOMAN: Yes sir.

In Enter the Matrix, a moment later it’s less hours.
LIEUTENANT: Latest projections from Seismic.
LOCK: How long?
LIEUTENANT: Less than three hours.

In order to make this fit, I have to switch some scenes from Enter The Matrix to a later point in Reloaded, instead of the timing of the scenes in Enter The Matrix.

I’d like to hear your suggestions and ideas on this possible future fanedit…

Furthermore, he does exit the coffin far too early especially with dozens of Police lead hitting the vehicle. Suppose it could of been an armoured hearse lol. anyway cool edit excellent work, keep it up.

Thanks for the feedback. In January I'm gonna work on the NTSC conversation. Perhaps I will try to re-do the opening and the scene in the back of the truck to adjust the sound, IF POSSIBLE. These 2 things are the only problems that I have heard people "complaining" about.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback!!

I watched the whole thing, and I agree it's much better than the original, with many edits cleverly done.

Things I don't like are the opening credits music, (I think some Brad Fiedel score would be better) as we miss the noise of the images you selected, and the future flashback insertion in the back of the truck (doesn't work for me)

If you plan a 2.0 edit, I would happilly discuss some general ideas with you, I'm a huge Terminator fan too, since 1984... I think actually we may have exchanged emails as far back as 1996

I think mostly you could move some sequences around to make it flow better in the first half. For example make the two Terminators arrives before you introduce the sarah connor character (whatever they called her this time, catherine whatever). Also remove the Ladies Night shot (no terminator Thermovision, while it should be), also some edits needs to be perfected to work, drop the killing of catherine boyfriend, it's a cliched scene, and helps make the impersonating of him more efficient. Another is John Coming out of the coffing too soon during the cemetary escape. The guys who edited this film originally should never be allowed to touch a movie again in their liftetime, including their offshots. I can either email or pm you on suggestions for improvement. I have a few. There's a real POV on your edit, a director's one, that the original, controlled by the A hole producers, have not. Really cool, despite the imperfections.
Stamper, I didn't get a PM. Seems my PM system was turned off. I turned it on, hoping that you could send me a PM with the ideas that you have.

I finally had a chance to watch this last night. It's pretty good. You managed to cut out most of the things I had a problem with in the original (talk to the hand, stupid sunglasses, etc). I think the only thing left that still bugs me is the whole "skynet didn't have a core". Didn't they say in T1 that they had breached the core and were about to win when they sent a Terminator back? Doesn't Skynet becoming an Internet wide "botnet" essentially change/violate that? If it's possible, that's the only thing left that I would cut. I think the whole part about Skynet not having a core and just being all the computers connected to the Internet could be cut without effecting anything else.

Other than that, this is a great edit. Keep up the good work.

About the core. I believe SKYNET started as software and uplaoded itself to SAC NORAD inside Cheyenne Mountain during Judgment Day, to protect itself against the missiles and the EMP of those missiles. There it starts to form itself into hardware mainframe instead of the software thing. That's what I believe, but it's non canon at the moment.

Okay, okay. I have found the footage from the game in one of the game's folders. Now I need to convert the game audio to wav. I'm thinking of doing an extended edition of Matrix Reloaded, but I will not go into detail now.

Does the DVD from the boxset with the enter the matrix footage have a name or title?

Okay, I think I my question was not clear. What I actually meant was, are all live action parts (thus real life actors, not computer figures) on that DVD, or is it just a selection from the game? Are all live actions parts from the game transferred to that DVD, or just a selection of a few scenes from the game?

That sequence was to show Peter another option. A life without any problems, just with a nice girl that likes him for who he is. A very calm life, not the hectic Spider-Man life that gives him so much problems in his private life.
