Despecialized: Help me, Obi Wan, you're my only hope! Burn AVCHD to DVD...
Time

Yes! I had the wrong versions of the files. I had gotten them from some torrent site instead of the site they recommend here. They played fine on my computer, but they were too large to burn to a dl disc. You have to get an invite to myspleen.org. They have instructions here: http://originaltrilogy.com/topic/Post-in-this-thread-to-request-an-invite-to-MySpleenorg-you-MUST-read-the-first-post/id/8592

Despecialized: Help me, Obi Wan, you're my only hope! Burn AVCHD to DVD...

I am super excited to learn about the Despecialized Editions, and I’m hoping to get them onto a dvd! I appreciate your time and attention with my issue.

I torrented the AVCHD versions, purchased some memorex DVD+RDL’s, and attempted to use a friend’s dvd burner to make it happen. It worked fine for Jedi!

So here’s my problem: It said there wasn’t enough space on the discs for either Star Wars or Empire. The discs said 8.5 GB, and the Star Wars movie appears to be 8.12 GB. But imgburn said the movie was 8,324 MB while the disc could only hold 8,152 MB.

I’ve searched for a solution, but unfortunately I haven’t been savvy enough. I figured since these files were made to fit a DVD-DL, that you all would have a simple fix for me. I wouldn’t mind dropping the extra audio tracks if that would help decrease the file size, but none of the programs I found to edit AVCHD files were working out for me.

I’m thankful for what everyone is doing here to help preserve this piece of history! Thank you for you help with my issue.
