Is this really the original introduction sentence: “Vor langer Zeit in einer Galaxis weit, weit entfernt…” ?

Sounds like word to word translation! And if so when was “Es war einmal vor langer Zeit in einer weit, weit entfernten Galaxis…” used for the first time?

I may have an old vhs copy from the 80’s but no player and on the internet you can rarely find this sentence, but the 80’s are far, far ago! So i don’t know, maybe you’re right!
