Doctor M, this would prove Pinocchio 2003 & 2009 are different restorations, right? Does anyone have both? I´d like to see a PE vs. SE comparison, to me, PE looks pretty good, but I prefer the SE color scheme (not saying it´s accurate), to me the perfect blend would be PE´s luma and SE´s chroma.

The Vaultbreakers Collection - Disney Preservations
Time

Hey guys... Maybe you didn´t know it, but in all these years, Peter Pan´s color palette has also suffered. So I thought, if we could just match the 1990 Laserdisc colors (in theory that 1990 LD had pretty accurate color timing, at least compared to later video releases) to the new BD. So we can have BD´s razor sharp restored picture properly color-timed.

Info Wanted: About the 1986 Japanese Laserdisc
Time

Hi.

First of all, I never watched any SW movie. I´m familiar though with the whole George-Lucas-won´t-release-the-original-versions thing and I´ve been reading a lot lately about the different attempts to restore/re-create the original 1977 cut as best as possible (mostly thru 8mmm/16mm film or LD rips, and a coming-soon 35mm telecine which looks like will be great).

In the meantime, of all the LD official versions, the Dark/Sega one sourced from the 1986 LD looks like one of the best of the bunch (i.e. better color saturation) but it´s DVD5.

Now, is there any DVD9 rip of it?

Greetings.

Pretty Baby (1978) LDRip Open-Matte MPEG-2 (Released)
Time

This is the Pretty Baby movie starring Brooke Shields (1978).

This is the Open-Matte version which shows some extra nudity by Brooke, ripped straight from my LD copy.

How did I rip this? Pretty straightforward.

Played the movie through my Pioneer DVL-909, then output it to my WD recorder thru composite video and analog stereo. The result was recorded in HQ mode, MPEG-2. Then copied the result to my PC via a pendrive, and just edited the parts into a single MPG file, removing (as accurately as I could) everything which isn´t the movie itself thru Virtualdub. (Remember, this was a two-sided LD). The end result is a raw, untouched big HQ MPEG-2 rip of the movie that the average Joe can simply burn and play. And if anyone wants to do some restoration out of this, then I`m sure this is a pretty good source to begin with.
