I saw Star Wars (Stjärnornas Krig in Sweden at the time) with my uncle and his friend that took me to see the film. I think I was 9 ish in 1977/78 I don’t remember if it was early spring or early autumn. The film had a huge impact on my life.
I was, of course fascinated when the special editions came out. But I didn’t realize that this meant the complete cancelation of the 1977 theatrical cut. I own a dozen versions, boxes, dvd and VHS versions.

I always disliked Han Solo stepping on jabba and longed for the original. Now I’m here in a last desperate hope…
