Maybe the crawl could be altered? I do want to make sure that it fits within the style of ESB.
I’ll check out that voiceover. I think new VFX would be required for Boba approaching the Executor, so that would work well for that scene.
Thank you both for y’all’s input!
This is a proof of concept for a scene that I’ve wanted to make a reality for quite some time. This would take the scene from the Darth Vader 2015 run, where Boba Fett informs Darth Vader of Luke Skywalker’s existence, leading to Vader realizing he has a son. I always thought this would fit perfectly at the start of the movie, as it would lead into Vader’s frantic search for Skywalker that kicks off the start.
I’ve done my best to lay out the concept for the scene here. After the opening crawl, the screen would pan down to Slave 1 exiting hyperspace, preparing to dock on the Executor. We would then cut to Boba’s conversation with Vader, which would then lead into the probe droid sequence. I’ve cut the conversation to still hide the reveal that Luke is Vader’s son, while implying that there is something to reveal.
The execution isn’t perfect, but I hope it gets my point across. I’ve used audio from Star Wars Audio Comics on Youtube, footage from the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, and the “No Disintegrations” fanfilm, to try and stitch together a proof of concept. It definitely still needs work, so I hope that I can polish this over time. Please let me know what you think, or if you have any ideas!

Could I please have a link to these? They sound very interesting, in particular the Ahsoka and Bariss episode.
I’ve got to be honest, I’ll always maintain that the only Anakin ghost that would make perfect sense would be one that’s still in the Vader suit, scarred and everything. Hayden makes him 20 years younger, and he never even looked like the cleaned up Shaw.
The best case scenario would be to create an entirely new shot, with a closeup on the hand in the vat and Kylo walking past in the background. It would be very tricky to make work, much less look believable, but it can be accomplished.
I’ve definitely thought of putting in Luke’s hand before, but the logistics concern me. My best suggestion would be using the hand in the tank from Doctor Who, lol
EDIT: Nevermind, didn’t read thoroughly
lol. Was just about to point you to the “How to watch” heading. Enjoy ^_^
Appreciate it! Will give notes once I’ve watched through them all, I’m liking what I’m seeing so far

I tried to get Vicrul on Mustafar as well but there was no way for me to pass off the leafy green forest as the same woods Kylo’s in no matter how much I color graded.
Hey, I liked this idea a whole lot, and tried my hand at masking out Vicrul from the shots. I think I did a pretty good job, but I don’t have a background I can really use for Mustafar. Any ideas?
Has anyone tried adding the Sarlacc escape scene from Book of Boba Fett into Return of the Jedi? I can’t imagine it fitting in or adding something substantial, but I’m curious if there could be anything there.

Re: Ach-To in TLJ, I usually push the arrival on Ach-To to the start of TLJ. TFA ends very naturally on Rey leaving on the Falcon, and you can headcanon a timeskip of however long it took for her to get there.
A bit preemptive, no?
I think a few of the shots he presented could be included together. If it only appears once, then it not appearing for the rest of the battle breaks up that continuity
I think the point of an easter egg is that they are sublte enough that in missing them, they aren’t missed. So I doubt if it done right (if at all), only being in one shot would make its absance in others notable.
Well, think of it like the Ghost in Rogue One. I entirely missed it on my first viewing, but it was in multiple shots to keep the battle consistent.

Has anyone seen this guy’s stuff? Nothing too groundbreaking, but he has a few vfx edits I’d love to include, both in the PT and OT.

Not opposed to utilizing Midichlorians in the dialogue, but Palpatine didn’t create Anakin in canon.
??? What are you even talking about
Making a comparison in the choreography?
Fair enough lol, these videos are usually best as more fun experiments than actually implemented. I figured it was gonna pop up here sooner or later, may as well get it out of the way now.

I do like the slow version of DotF, but I feel like Rey and Ben’s final battle should at least have some hint of their duel theme.
Ideally, I always wanted the DS2 duel to be this big medley of songs from throughout the saga. The Rey vs Kylo soundtrack from TFA would be the main track, while Duel of the Fates, Battle of the Heroes, and A Jedi’s Fury would come in and out at different times. Sadly, it hasn’t been feasible before, really.
