Help Wanted: Need someone to clean up the Tosche Station deleted scene
Time

I’m doing a edit of the OT that only include the scenes with Luke in them, and I intend on including the Tosche Station deleted scene. Problem is, though, that I don’t have the technology available to clean up the video, especially since it’ll be side-by-side with the Depsecialized/TeamNegative1 Editions. Does anyone have the software/time on their hands to do if for me? You would definitely be accredited for it.

Also, I would love it to be this version, since soundtrack has been added as well as being in color.

Thanks!

Idea: Luke Skywalker - The Movie
Time

Smithers said:

I would definitely watch that! The OT could probably fit into one movie that way, but I wouldn’t add the TFA scene at the end, I’d just make it Luke’s isolated character arc, would you contain the deleted scenes?

I’d def like to see more of him as a farmboy on Tatooine so the Biggs scene would ROCK.

I’m definitely adding the deleted Toshe Station scene, if I can find a really good quality version of it

Idea: Luke Skywalker - The Movie
Time

I thought of some crazy idea, and maybe you could tell me what you think. What if someone (probably me) took only the scenes of Luke and put them all together in one movie? Like you know only what Luke knows. It would include his birth in RoTS, and the very last clip of TFA- once it becomes available, of course. Given he doesn’t have a lot of screentime in TESB it just might work

Stuck between two ideas my my TPM re-write
Time

I’m currently re-writing TPM, and I’m stuck between two set of characters for the movie, I originally had it one way, but as I was rewriting it, I came up with the second, and I’m not sure what to do about it

Idea #1:
-Mace Windu is assigned with Obi-Wan (who is still Yoda’s padawan) to talk with the leaders of the CIS (the TF is replaced with the Separatists from the beginning)
-Qui-Gon is qui-gone
-Mace Windu leads the charge on the ground and a teenage Anakin and Obi-Wan storm the palace and encounter Maul, and no one dies, not even Darth Maul
-will lead to Mace getting kicked out of the order in AoTC like in the Journal of the Whills

Idea #2:
-Anakin is Obi-Wan’s padawn and they have aggressive negotiations with the leaders of the CIS
-Obi-Wan training under Yoda is only mentioned
-they meet Shmi on Tatooine and the audience and Anakin doesn’t know until later that she’s his mother since Anakin was discovered as a young child
-Anakin does podracing to get them off
-transfer the entire Obi-Wan and Anakin vs. Dooku sequence into the movie except it’s on Naboo and it’s against Darth Maul

Let me know what you think!

Idea: "Sprayed Pellets" - An edit of "The Seige at Ruby Ridge"
Time

To me, the incident at Ruby Ridge is a terrifying example of government brutality, but politics aside, I was very much taken back by how CBS portrayed Randy Weaver as an all-out, neo-Nazi, KKK, bigot. Since it’s already a staggering 175 minutes long, I figured I could put my film editing skills (my edit of The Phantom Menace is nearly ready for release, I’m just waiting for the voice actor for Jar Jar) and do the Weaver family and Kevin Harris justice by giving a somewhat less-inaccurate portrayal of what happened those few weeks in Idaho.

While Randy is/was a white supremacist, there is no evidence to show that he was brainwashing his kids by having them repeat “White Power!” and telling them “Save the arguing to the Jews and the n****rs.” In fact, they only visited the compound up to two times, and he definitely wouldn’t put racist slang in every one of his sentences like he does in the movie.

Planned edits include:
-cutting out most of the racist comments made in the movie (the ones left in will be subtle and “not as bad”)
-the entire KKK scene
-any mentioning of Nazis
-Sammy’s “You killed by dog you son of a b!tch!” (or at least the “son of a b!tch” part)
-Randy brainwashing his kids
-more on the list when I watch the film in its entirety.

You can find the entire docudrama here, tell me what you think I should (or shouldn’t change).

EDIT: I wonder if this is too much to ask, but my screen recording software is a bit crappy so would it be possible to cut out the jittering of the crawl/smooth it out a little at least? That’s an added bonus really…

I’ll just put it into the Crawl Maker and re-record it on my computer. The website uses flash and thus it’s going to be really laggy and low resolution but it’ll do. And it’s really not a hassle for me. I love doing this kind of stuff, and I have a 3-day weekend on my hands

Hi, sorry if this is a bit difficult, but could you add this opening crawl: https://www.dropbox.com/s/olliqbe7tj6akbo/Title Crawl.mp4?dl=0 to the opening of the Phantom Edit found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9LEhOZZbuk&feature=iv&src_vid=LhJA7I_8-14&annotation_id=annotation_119748561 so it blends straight into the pan down? In effect all I need is the replacement of the text.

If you could do this I wouldn’t be able to thank you enough.

I can do that for you. If I’m not mistaken, is that made using the Opening Crawl Maker on StarWars.com? Cause if it is, it’s slightly faster and will have to be slowed down (which I can do). Also, I have a file of RoTS on me, so I can merge it with the opening stuff for you

Wouldn’t matter if you’re burning it to a DVD-R anyway. But the question would of course arise, why is your only version of the film 720p?

When I …

That’s what I was alluding to. This is not welcome here.

Oh good, so he’s not super bright AND he’s a pirate.

I’m not a pirate. I own the movies on Blu-ray, but I just don’t have the software to get the movie from the disc to a file format usable by iMovie.

Help Wanted: Any voice actors that want to do a voice-over of Jar Jar?
Time

I’m currently doing a re-edit of The Phantom Menace (here’s my first edit that I’m building upon), and I want to actually add some humor to the character, since the movie’s seriously lacking humor when you re-dub him like I lovingly borrowed from the Anti-Cheese edit. Re-dubbing him did the job he needed to do to fill the plot but it looses his “humor” (if you could call it that).

I really liked Timstuff’s take on Jar Jar, but he’s pretty much vanished from the internet and I’ve lost hope of contacting him. I’m looking for a voice actor that can do something somewhat similar to Timstuff- I’ll provide the script. Just comment or PM me: it doesn’t matter.

Can someone remove the "3D" from this poster?
Time

I’m making a fan edit of The Phantom Menace, and I really like this poster, and I really want to use it as my poster for the edit, but the big “3D” is in the way. Does someone want to please edit that out? It doesn’t need to be that good cause it’ll have text over it.

(I can also credit you in the fanedit post once it’s finished) Thanks!

Idea: Thinking of putting an Auralnauts scene in my TPM edit.
Time

I’m currently making a fan-edit of The Phantom Menace, and since all of the “jokes” are gone when you take out most of Jar Jar, I was thinking about adding a scene from Auralnaut’s "Jedi Party to make it funnier. Problem is, I’m not sure which scene to add. I don’t want it to feel out of place, so only the ones like “You told me there was a bar here” or C-3PO awakening without skin would make sense.
