Hey! I have finally finished tinkering with my Rogue One edit with the help of Burbin and Sahmook’s deepfake work bringing those scenes up to par, and the recently released full score.

Hundreds of tiny video and audio cuts for tone alongside, what I assume are more usual edits for this film (opening crawl, mind-reading blob monster gone, flashbacks gone) there are moments such as making Vader more menacing in his meeting with Krennic that I now think work well.

Final running time 1hr58m. 2.41GB 1920x800 mp4 available via DM if anyone is interested.

I’m sorry if this has come up before (I haven’t followed every page of this thread) but what’s the general consensus over the deepfake Luke quality of Shamook’s efforts over Jarkan’s? I think maybe the mouth animation may be better on the one from Jarkan(?)

After all the talk of Solo again recently I rewatched yesterday and would love to see this version please. It appears to check off many of the tiny issues I had with it.

On recollection, there’s no spider planet stuff. The Jedi episode is trimmed and reordered so it’s like a break to watch another show before Mando and Child comes back.

Nothing is hugely jarring, but IMO much could still be cut e.g. the first ep. but it’s tricky.

Count me intrigued. I’d love a link to check it out, I’ve considered the same but it seems daunting trying to strip away a lot of the ‘non-essential bits’ as they all kinda seemed a little bit necessary by the end.

It’s hard to deny, it is an improvement. I wish someone could tweak the mouth animation a bit is all. If you watch without sound it’s a jaw going up and down like a muppet basically!

Watched this earlier and enjoyed it a lot. I too would prefer a more ‘classic’ crawl (I feel the same about Rogue One and Solo) and while I do miss some moments, it’s true this edit works without. Great job!

I’d love to get a hold of these please. Is it the full two seasons or whatever it was? I have a movie length fanedit of these that I’ve been itching to have in decent quality.

You could always save the scene for near the start of the second-series-as-a-movie when it (hopefully) comes?

Or people who don’t want it could just press stop before the credits end.

Very intrigued by this I have to say. I’ve often considered trying similar myself but it seemed a gargantuan task. Would love a link!
