Because all those people who liked STAR WARS before 1997 liked the original versions, an easy way to please all of the would have been not to make any changes. What is so hard to understand about that?

Star Wars is still going strong today with the clone wars cartoon series and the blu-ray release and the 3-D release coming soon. Their are people who still like star wars.

And as you admit here, you support anything GL does. That's simply dogmatic and blind to reason. We're not people who dislike Star Wars. We're just honest people who aren't afraid of critiquing poor decisions.

We have no reason to defend or support anything GL does. Only those who wish to maintain an income at LFL do.

Why do some of you wine and complain every time GL makes a change to the films? He has a right to change his films sure some of them are not good you can't please everyone. Sure not everyone is not going to like the changes but it the changes don't take away my enjoyment of the films.

Enough of the GL bashing. Seriously is that all some of you do? If it was not for GL their would not be anything star wars. After all he is the one created the whole saga. We need to at least respect the fact he did made these films and not bash him everytime he makes a change to the films. But everyone has a right to their opinion about the changes to the films some like them some don't.

I understand and I've said it so many times that fans want the original versions of the OT on blu-ray the way it was originally release in 77 , 80 and 83. But I ask what else can we do to get them on blu-ray beside online petitions and so on?  And will it take 4K when it finally comes in the home market for those cuts to be released on blu-ray?

We still talking about kenkraly?

Guy is either a troll, a child, or a mentally disturbed individual. Just read his posts - incoherent, repetitive, and unsubstantial.

He told everyone about an email from LFL saying all color issues were corrected. Nobody else received such an email. I called him out back then and later again when the images/videos began to leak.

Ignore him.

Georgec I am not all those things you just called me so why don't you just take back everything you said.

Now I understand why some fans want the original cuts of the original trilogy because that is the versions fan's grew up with and it's a very good point. Now hear me out before you start with calling me a troll and this and that. I know in the past I have said some things that have made people on this forum upset. I understand the whole point of this site to get the original cuts of the original star wars trilogy on blu-ray or whatever the next format comes along. Now I do like the original cut's of the original trilogy but my preface are the special editions because those are the ones I saw in the theaters and their is nothing wrong with that.  And the blu-ray's of the star wars saga are the best the films and ever looked and sounded some my not agree but that is for anyone to judge.

Star Wars Blu Ray Impressions

I've had the star wars saga blu-rays for some time now I enjoy everything about them picture , sound , extras, everything. Sure episode 1 is not perfect transfer on blu-ray because of the DNR issues but it's a decent transfer. The other 5 star wars films on blu-ray look very good though with ROTS and the original trilogy looking the best. Sure some fans are not going to like the new color timing of the OT from 2004 but it's not a big issue for me and some of the error's from the 2004 dvd release's for the OT have been corrected for the blu-ray's. Sound wise the films have never sounded better with the DTS HD Master Audio 6.1 soundtrack on blu-ray. Episode 4 sound's very good on blu-ray and again most of the audio problems from the 2004 dvd release for Episode 4 have been corrected. And the other 5 films of the saga sound good on blu-ray too.
