Hey All...

 Just noted this older thread concerning my all time fave 'bad film', 'Howard THe Duck'...and was pleased to see there were so many fans interested in the HTD2 DVD that was created before it was finally officially released...I actually obtained the fan edit version you guys all took part in creating here, and I have to say it was a damn good job, in a lot of ways, BETTER than the official one.

 Oh, by the way...I'm the guy that created the 'cecinid' Howard site that most of the 'extras' on the fan edit came from, I was honored you thought enough of my collected clips and pics to use them (including the animated Lea thompson 'underwear GIF' I did, LOL!)

 And for those that still have an interest in visiting said HTD website, it has a new home...

Hey All!

Just a quick note to let anyone interested know, I was recently contacted by a talented CGI artist, who wants to add some addition scenes from the original novella to the ending of 'The Mist- The Novella Cut'...included will be an extended ending and some sequences featuring the flying 'Kite Creatures' King mentioned in the original text...here is some production art he whipped up for the proposed 'Kite Creatures'...

I recall it being mentioned elsewhere here in this thread (tho not directly connected to ESB) that Adywan plans to fix the end of 'Jedi' by getting rid of that ridiculously annoying 'ghost of Hayden' (I hope that's TRUE!) and it made me remember something I figured you guys would all get a kick out of...

 I can clearly see the scale difference in that first part of the clip...but I'm not seeing any dif in the second half...teach me, you will?

 Heheh...ok, I'm gonna go 'off topic' for a sec here too, I miised this interview, but I gotta ask...did Jon bring up 'Howard The Duck' at any point? He just SOOO seems like he would....;)

Could be condensation from fumes turned into frost due to the proximity to the snow / ice...it might actually be be sort of "luke" warm in the hallways..

Take a look at the power lines and other stuff on the wall behind them and you can see frost :)

 ...Ok, color me an idiot, but...that seems to indicate that you WOULD see their breath, no?

Hey, I got NUTHIN' besides what I asked about there...you guys have all covered an absolutely FANTASTIC ammount of details that never even crossed my mind...I think the work you have all contributed to this is flat out amazing, I love that fans like you exist (I thought I was one of the rare 'obsessive types' that get that far into detail when working on a project, but I come off a simplistic beginner compared to you creative lot, LOL!...;)

Hey All...

 I'm new here, but a HUGE fan of Adywan's amazing work...and of fan edits/editors in general, I find them absoultely mesmorizing, the ammount of attention to detail is fantastic! (Hell, I've tried to do ONE edit myself, and it didn't come out anywhere NEAR as kick ass as Adywan's stuff...but I still say it's fun to devote time to...)

I had one question, RE this new 'Empire- Revisited'...I may have missed it being mentioned somewhere, I scanned through about 500 pages attempting to check first, as it seems a rather obvious issue to 'correct'...

 During ALL of the interior scenes on Hoth (Leia and Han in the tunnels, etc), is there any chance that the 'breath' of the actors can be added? This was something that always bugged the CRAP out of me from the first time I saw the film in theaters!...;)

 Either way, bless you guys for all your hard work...especially you, Adywan..!

Cuz I actually just got thru with an updated cut of the film, added some new scenes, altered a few other bits...plus this recent version is much more clean/clear...

UPDATE!

I have completed a FAR superior cut of 'The Novella Cut', includes newly edited/added scenes and a redone finale that more closely mirrors the original ending...sound is now in stereo as well.

Well, it doesn't HAVE to be a receipt (I DO keep all the scans sent to me, tho...just in case Dimension Films gets huffy)...I've had a few folks email me a photo of them holding the DVD, that works fine too...any way to prove you have purchased the DVD is fine...;)

Not sure if anyone here will be interested, but I have done a fan edit of the 2007 Frank Darabont adaption of ‘The Mist’…my edit ‘restores’ the ‘book ending’, as opposed to the final ‘new’ ten minutes that Darabont added to the story, among other alterations.

The new ending was created completely from scratch, and hopefully better reflects the ‘Hartford/hope’ angle of the source material…

I'm new here, so please forgive my inevitable stupidity...;)

I see the majority of posts here are SW related...but is there any interest in discussion of NON-SW related Fan Edits?

I ask, because I have completed a fan edit of Stephen King's 'The Mist' called 'The Novella Cut', which restores the original book ending to the film (created from scratch)...

Is discussion of non-SW related films acceptable here?
