I’ve actually done a sort of despecialized hd version of The Evil Dead using the 4k disc as a primary source with the mono track ripped from the laserdisc synced up… still trying to figure out how to get it out to people, but let me know if you’re interested.

Just made a small donation. I’m broke right now, but I hope it helps. I’m very excited for this! From the looks of the scan of the 35mm trailer, the texture/grain of the print seems to help blend in the CGI elements a bit, so that’s awesome. Good luck!

I’ve been using Verbatim discs, and I just tried it with that older version of tsMuxer with no luck. tsMuxer usually works for me when I use it for the Despecialized releases (which are single layer) but still no luck with these for dual layer discs. Is there maybe some way that I need to indicate when making the BDMV that it’s for a dual layer disc, or perhaps I need to indicate a layer break from one of the chapter marks, like I would for authoring a dual layer DVD in DVD Studio Pro?
I have tsMuxer GUI 2.6.11 and we have a bunch of Sony and Samsung BD players, all of which the burned discs didn’t work in.
These are over 30 GB, so I assume they’re meant to be burned to dual layer Blu Ray discs. However, after muxing the MKV to a Blu Ray folder with tsMuxer and burning the BDMV to a dual layer disc, it didn’t work. Any idea how to do it?

Really feeling those alternate covers for the SSE, Williarob. Do you have any matching alternate disc art for those too? If not, anyone willing to take a crack at it?

Williarob, I just burned this to Blu Ray and watched it. This is incredible. I love version 1.0, but this blows it out of the water. The grain seems finer - probably because of the higher encode - it’s super sharp, and I actually really didn’t notice any of the light smearing from the previous version, though if it were there, it wouldn’t be nearly as bad as it is in the GOUT (check out the first shot of the Tantive IV to see what I mean). Thank you so much for this!

Out of curiosity, Harmy, are the dissolves and wipes in SW Despecialized the theatrical ones, or are they slightly off but fairly identical like in ROTJ 2.5? Either way, great work, as always!
