Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

after watching 2.1 all the way through I have to say that watching Star Wars this time reminded me of how I felt watching Star Wars on VHS on my old tv when I was 12 years old with my dad.

it just looked and felt right. how it used to look. and for some reason even though I have seen this movie many times before... my brain registered this as different.

Thank You Harmy. You brought back memories.

Looking forward to ESB and ROTJ.

I've got young kids, so while I prefer to watch everything subbed (and I'm even one of those snooty ones who also prefers the literal subs on the Japanese discs), I'll be watching with dubs exclusively for many, many years and they may grow on me.  FWIW I do like one dub--the French dub for Porco Rosso is phenomenally good.  I often choose to watch that movie dubbed in French with English subs (I don't know any French).  Okay, back on-topic ;)

@Catbus

oh cool Ill check out that french dub. sorry for being a little off topic there. couldn't resist.

ok thanks catbus. and thanks for doing the subs for 2.1 release btw.

ps do you like watching my neighbor totoro in english dub or in japanese with subs. lol just wondering. kinda a studio ghibli fan. the only ghibli films I don't watch with subtitles are howl's moving castle, my neighbor totoro and castle in the sky. All the rest I prefer it in Japanese besides Nausicaa which I like watching in french with English subs.

Hey can I have a myspleen invite guys?

I have downloaded despecialized 1.0 and 2.0 so far and would like to test out 2.1 when the blu ray release is ready. I have a blu ray player and would like to burn a disc and test it out to see if it works properly.

Keep up the great work Harmy. This is incredible what you have been able to do already.
