Scream Factory has been wanting to do a release for seven years with the original color timing but Universal wouldn’t let them until this year.
The page might be reliable but until I see actual images from the VHS itself and not some production photos being passed off as extra footage. I don’t believe it.
I claim that whoever said there is 18 seconds difference is wrong. All those shots are production photos that can be found in The film and the legend book. Even you can see the attempt to hide the spine in the book in the last shot. Dracula has always been the same on all formats nothing has been added to the theatrical cut. The images can be found on pg 55,62,63,100,121 and 132&133
I’m curious about the 18 seconds longer in 6 scenes in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. I thought all releases were the same. Is their any information on the differences.
I can’t believe that this is the master used for the blu-ray. Excellent job you brought life back to Star Wars even if it’s the special edition.
Of course it does.
For example, if there will be identical footage on BluRay, then I will try and re-use it. For example, if the end credits of Part 1 are identical to the BluRay end credits, I could use these instead. Same for the opening of Part 2 (if it is the same as Part 1, that is).I am curious if the 576i source will be of better quality than the (very good) NTSC LD by RidgeShark. 😃
My next step will be gettin the BluRay (the steelbook I preordered is scheduled for Oct 12th) and match the colors, the noise level and the framing of the LD source to the Blu.
the end credits for both parts are different.
You should be good on the deleted scenes belonging to the version that was edited on the criterion disc. Since majority of the transfer is from the original camera negative. They basically just cut out what wasn’t in the 71 version.
I downloaded your image and opened photoshop I changed the frame to B&W. I took the eyedropper and selected the color from the 2006 frame and then with the paintbrush and had it selected on Overlay going over the whole image. Some frames might need more additional adjusting of color tinting to match.
Using photoshop to correct the frames

This is the correct color
The uniforms were olive color according to the Star Wars Costume book.
I have a question why when I watch them on my tv it cuts the left and right side of the picture. Any suggestions how to fix this
Your color regrade techniques would work great to regrade Dracula (1979)
Here is the Blu ray

I did this using photoshop but you probably could do better.

I’ll be the one to ask… can we expect a '98 Re-Specialized edition at some point? (Pretty sure only ANH and ESB were '97.)
Jedi was rereleased March 14 1997
I quickly went through the film. Tomorrow I’ll watch it on my tv. The Rancor Scenes was dark also after Oola falls into the pit it looked like there was magenta color in some of the frame. Can’t wait to sit down and watch it entirely.
I have read through the thread reading and trying to make several attempts to see this work print could someone please PM the link. Thank You In Advance.
I would be interested in seeing you do that
I can't find it on myspleen
With the recent blu ray and having a HD image to work with. I was testing some screen shots to see if it was possible to bring the color back to the film. I don’t know how to color correct a video so any help would be great.

Yeah, unless they run to the foreground and start dancing, they're probably original.
BTW, it is nice to see just how much "bounty hunter scum" got taken out along with Jabba.
The only one smart enough to leave the sail barge before it exploded was Bib Fortuna. According to the Tales From Jabba's Palace.
I notice a audio glitch in the 5.1 track. Lukes lightsaber ignites twice in the wampa cave.
I have watched this already three times and can't get enough of how good this looks and sounds. I just wish I had a way to burn it to a blu ray.
What else could possibly be done to Empire everything looks just as I remember when I first saw Empire. I can't wait to see Jedi
Can someone show me how to download this. Thank You
