kk650's Regraded Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi V2 (blanket yellow tint removed from blu-ray)

Thank you for the detailed feedback DrDre!

You’ve all convinced me to give this another go. I’ll be creating a V3 release that will be around halfway between my V2 release and the blu-ray in terms of the amount of yellow. I’ve worked out the settings for V3 and it is actually very close to what DrDre’s regrade screencaps look like. Hopefully you guys that feel that too much yellow was removed with the V2 release will prefer the balance of this V3 release.

V2 was alright looks better with no yellow or green tint

What I’m saying is that the yellow/green tint is even more pronounced on the UHD.

I can’t post screenshots as there’s no way to properly screenshot HDR images but flicking back and forth between the BD and the UHD shows that the UHD definitely has more of a green cast with the BD being closer to how I remember the movie looking in the cinema.

every film in blu-ray or UHD has this issue you can notice it alot, don’t know why the industry don’t sort it out

Does anyone else have the UHD release? It seems to me that the yellow cast is WAY more pronounced in the UHD version than the regular BD.

I’ve looked at it on two different setups so I’m pretty sure it’s not my calibration that’s off.

The UHD has the yellow and green tint too

Sorry about not being around more these past few weeks guys, I’ve been suffering from stress related health issues and have been advised by my doctor to stop doing anything nonessential that is creating stress.

I seriously considered no longer creating regrades but decided to try just reducing my activity here and on other forums instead so I can focus on what I enjoy most, regrading and leave the distribution side of things to the_magicman, see how that works out. I will try to pop in every month to answer PMs and any questions in threads but I won’t be around here as regularly as I have been in the past.

All the best!

KK50, it looks like the Blade Runner 2049 blu ray has some issues with the blu ray colors. Have you looked into giving it a regrade?

he’s already done 23GB is out on another forum

ilyasdesign40 is spot on. I just got back from a much needed holiday today, the_magicman has been covering for me and uploaded regrades of different sizes of Blade Runner 2049 in my absense. They’ve been popular so 23GB versions with the Atmos track from the blu-ray are also available. I’ll post topics for the new Blade Runner 2049 regrades here later today.

Hope you do T2 remastered version as the picture is very good than there last release

thanks

Hope it will be the 23gb, would be a great christmas present 😃

The new Revenge of the Sith V3 23GB release was an early Christmas present for everybody on Myspleen along with the new V3 prequel releases, The Force Awakens and Rogue One.

If you don’t have access to Myspleen, The Sound of Music and It (2017) are your Christmas presents and they’re not available on Myspleen. I’ve got you all covered this Christmas, wouldn’t want anybody feeling left out 😃

but your going to put the smaller files on torrent of star wars?

Killing off Snoke and Phasma after only two movies I thought was a big twist.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised that Phasma is still alive. There was foreshadowing of a laser blast which simply deflected off her armour just before she fell through the flames, so I think the film makers could in good faith have her return. Snoke less so!

wasted talent of Snoke and Phasma could have done them better

One thing is for sure, we all love Empire

shame their won’t be something like that again!

I hope you’re wrong!!

I hope I’m wrong but that era of actors etc were unique, because it was raw talent!

the new generation of actors are too wooden and lame doesn’t work

carrie fisher and mark hamill made the last jedi work briefly!

battle scenes were great! but story too weak no depth etc…

Disney ain’t got a clue!

so many great Star Wars comes out there, don’t know why they didn’t use some of the stories

the next film will be even worse…

I have a strong feeling from watching the trailer this might be remix of The Empire Strikes Back!

if that is the case then that will be a huge let down!

Early critic comments (not actual review just comments) indicate this not being the case, the general vibe of the article containing snippets of comments from people saw the premiere on RT is "very good, not what you expect. "

Not that that really means anything, but I’m going to be hopeful.

HYPE! i think a lot true fans will be disappointed!

we need a good director to do star wars series, I know 4 can make it really good!
