Star Wars OT & 1997 Special Edition - Various Projects Info (Released)
Time

Thanks for explaining You_Too. I'll post no more on the subject of the JSC.

And after these three are all released, I seriously don't think me and DJ ever wanna work with Star Wars again.

Maybe by the time raw footage from a certain film scanner is released, Team Blu will consider doing a restoration and Blu-ray release of it. I can certainly understand if that doesn't happen, but I'll keep my fingers crossed until then.

I have almost as little faith in Disney as I do in George Lucas, but here's hoping. :)

There's no need to get upset. I wasn't advertising another project, I was suggesting a new source besides the GOUT for any future restoration efforts by Team Blu. I would have sent a PM to all the members of Team Blu, but I don't know the names of all the team members or who is in charge of handling the source material for their projects.

Also, I was saying thank you to the team. As far as I know, that is perfectly acceptable.

Please stay calm. Everything will be okay.

What Team Blu has done with the 1977 Star Wars is nothing short of spectacular. Thank you for creating this beautiful restoration and sharing it with us. I'm still amazed at the detail you managed to extract from a source as bad as the GOUT.

On a side note: althor has shared his preservation of the original Star Wars trilogy from Japanese laser discs. The transfer was from the mid 80s and has no digital blurring/smoothing or motion smearing that I can see. I think the (mostly) raw footage would be a better source than the GOUT for any future Star Wars restoration projects. However, I'm just going by how it looks to my eyes. :) Please take a look for yourself to make the comparison. The files can be found on usenet or MySpleen.

Thanks again to Team Blu!

Star Wars Laserdisc Preservations. See 1st Post for Updates.

The JSC Trilogy BD-25 was really impressive for mostly raw footage. Detail-wise, I would say it's much better than the GOUT DVDs. Thank you althor1138 for releasing this!

As there are many people without usenet access, would you mind if I posted the JSC Trilogy on MySpleen? This preservation should be shared with as many people as possible. Of course, I would give you full credit and post the contents of the "nfo" file in the description. Is that okay?
