er ahh. not sure if i get what you wanna do but if your asking about upmixing stereo to 5.1 there are multiple threads here about it. and yes you would make 6 wavs to work with. but we need more information to give you a real answer. i.e. what is your editing program? ect. most people would want to do a 5.1 track because well we are in an age of surround sound home theater. as for editing audio you will be limited on what sounds you can remove. as far as removing voices this only works on 5.1 where the center channel has voice only. and that is rare or never. what i would do is cut the parts you wanna use from your stereo track and save them separately to wav. from here womble mpeg wizard can upmix to 5.1. or do em in vegas. keep in mind upmixed audio is not going to have the panning effects of true surround. its basically just turning 2 channels into 6. if you are just talking about using music tracks from the soundtrack that shouldnt be too hard just upmix them to 5.1 and edit them in. lets here some more specific info on what you wanna do. a particular scene where you wanna use your soundtrack.
ok redfive no problem. but i gotta say i use movie quotes every day. and if i keep going back editing the same post its gonna be a lonnnnng post.
"shes gone from suck to blow" -spaceballs-
"you want the truth? you cant handle the truth"-jack nicholson- a few good men.
"see thats what i love about high school chicks man i get older they stay the same age"-matthew mcconaughey- dazed and confused.
"heres johnny"-jack nicholson- the shining.
"open the pod bay doors please hal"-dave bowman- 2001 a space odyssey.
"you hear me talkin hillbilly boy? i aint through with you by a damn sight. im gonna get medieval on your ass"-marcellus wallace- pulp fiction.
it seems like they took their time on this release. been waiting forever. i own the extended dvd's and i have never seen them because i am waiting for these. i watched the theater release bd's and yeah it was a really weak transfer. here's to hoping! p.s. sucks that they had to split them over 2 discs but that does not matter to us at ot.com now does it. mmuewuhhahhahahha.
saw "suckerpunch" i have to say i was expecting so much more. in general zack snyder movies have been good and watchmen is ranked in my top 10 faves. this being his first movie he wrote i was expecting a masterpiece. and what i got was really disappointed. yes the movie looks cool. great sfx. and the lead role she is well i would drink her bathwater but the movie completely lacked "punch" and i feel like a "sucker" bottom line mad at zack right now. he should stick to other peoples writings.
i know i know gp. just keepin it fun. you are full of laughs just tryin to keep up. out of the dozens of times i have seen 2001 i fell asleep 75% of the time. it is very monotone. but still a crowning achievement as most of kubrick's films were. i heard ziggy went to the moon and saw a monolith. he opened it and said "my god its full of stars" nobody heard from him since!
"that which does not kill us makes us stronger" -conan the barbarian/friedrich nietzsche.
noone not even you will remember if we were good men or bad why we fought nor how we died all that matters is that two stood against many thats whats important.-conan the barbarian.
"what we have here is a failure to communicate"
" ill fix your wagon little lady" -john wayne-
batmans voice changed in the dark night only when he has the mask on. mask off he sounds normal. mask on he sounds like robobatcop. and also he had roboarms for beating up crooks. wtf. keaton didnt need any roboarms to knock somebody out. last movie seen. "still waiting" funnier now then the first 2 times i saw it. why is that? proof that mood dictates movie opinion?
he read greenpenguino's post about 2001 and is headed to his house to set him straight by tying him to a chair, pinning his eyes open and making him watch it over and over and over. a clockwork orange style.....in dts true hd with 7.1 really really loud.
yeah there is only 1 batman as far as i am concerned. that movie stayed in the theater for like a year after it released. because everybody kept going back and watching it multiple times. i saw it in the theater at least 3 times. i was about 10 years old at the time. how do you get from that to batman and robin? just never understood what happened to the batman franchise. granted batman begins was pretty good. but dark knight wtf? didnt realize batman had a robot voice.
i see so they are just a representation of what the printable cover looks like. i have used dvd sleeve templates to make the kill bill cover i would assume they are the right size they are huge for sure. so the standard way to make the covers available is just include them with the edit? and then post up the display box here? sounds like a plan.
thumbs down for saying "2001 a space odyssey" and "bad" in the same post. the film is probably the single most influential scifi movie of all time. the genius of the movie can not be denied. there are so few truly epic scifi movies. 2001 was not just about evolution it was about the evolution of cinema. i will let that small mistake you made slide greenpenguino. just dont let it happen again:)
"kill the irishman" aka "bulletproof gangster" WOW!!!!! i mean WOW...
this is the new goodfellas. this may even be better then goodfellas. trust me watch it.
sorry didnt know where else to ask these questions. i have just looked through all the covers posted here and was wondering a few things. most of the covers here seem to be the ones that are not printable sleeves. or maybe i just dont get what to do with those. the ones that are the front cover with back folded open what are they for? just for display in xbmc? or are they printable? i have the template for those(dont know what to call em) and when my kill bill is released i will have a cover package with it. and was going to do a printable sleeve and disc label..but seeing so many of the other kind here i wonder why they are more popular then the standard printable sleeve? i will probably add that version to the cover package just wanted to know what people use them for? thanks.
edit i s still coming! just hit a snag with the dvd author software. i switched from dvd architect to encore. good news about this is the menus will be far more elaborate. bad news i had to learn a whole new software and encore is a bit more difficult to understand but i am over the rough part now and making progress. i had to take a weekend away from this edit it was getting to me for a second there. but i am back to work now. stay posted.
need more details. i.e. what kind of video?, what was the source?,how did it end up with shimmering? to me it sounds like you may have an over compressed xvid rip. people need to know what you got before they can offer a solution. if it is a badly ripped xvid you might as well trash it. if its an old vhs or something then someone here may know how to help with filters.
i think i grabbed the edit from fileserve or some warez site. i found it on sceper.eu it was right around the time i joined ot.com it was posted up there with the front cover. i have not seen the jelleo/ edit. but i did read up on it and decided i wanted the taolar edit because lex luthor was not removed. though i did find some utube videos of the jelleo edit and there were some pretty cool sfx changes. however i would still like to see a superman edit that spans 3 movies granted the third one lacked punch but there has to be some useful bits in it.
damn bingo! that sux. can you post a pic of this black widow so no other ot.com members may fall victim to her cunning thievery? + i want to see what was so distracting about this chick that blinded you to the fact you were missing 10k.
children!.....
so to recap. what do you need to do it? aluminum, wood, screws n bolts, cutting and drilling tools, motors, actuators, springs, pvc pipe,,tripods, some kind of controllor, a lot of spare time, and a beagle with some duct tape! i used to build rc cars and can tell you that model grade servos are a bitch. but with the automotive customizing revolution came tons of company's offering affordable electric actuators. i have a project underway in my car for a motorized trunk lid. lexus used the cheapest trunklid struts known to man and they gave out so now i have a yardstick to hold my trunk open. this prompted me to look into actuators. i found a company online offering 150 lb lift electronic actuators for about $100 bucks each. they had all sizes down to like a 3" extension. and had a line of high grade servo's too that i just glanced at. there is a large market for hobby robotics and with that plenty of company's making all kinds of fabrication materials. i have always had a fondness for film making which started in the early 90's when i was a daily skateboarder my friends and i lugged around a 20 lb vhs camera in a suitcase to film our skating. these days i dont even own a camera but i always keep an eye out for a good deal on a 3chip. if i had the $ and the time i would be looking into making indy films. and the first thing on the equipment list would be mocos and dolly's home made of course the only way any indy film maker can do it. look at robert rodriguez. the man made el mariachi with like $ 7k in mexico and ended up being 1 of the elite hollywood directors. so if i ever come into a sum of cash i will take you up on that challenge.

and 1 more this ones a little ghetto but none the less you can see my point.

this 1 is sick! carbon fiber is lighter then alloy. mounted to a track dolly this pan and tilt rig would do it all.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyeCTs5MJOs&NR=1&feature=fvwp
i was half kidding.. i agree it would not be easy. but lets think for a second about the world of custom built motorcycles. a person with above average mechanical fabrication skills, the right tools could do this for a fraction of the cost of a studio rig. am i convinced it can be done? hell yeah!! have a look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgIv1q7zqlA
this is just the first 1 i saw. there are more. btw that is a ladder he used for the track. this rig could be built for about $1000.00 us. the kid that built it wanted to sell it for $5000.
no worrys man i can take a punch with the best of em and its not like i didnt have that coming. but for real dude that is a big set of construx. and some old electric race car tracks:) and duct tape is every riggers best friend. sure a rig like that costs thousands but with some bill nye skills and a home depot gift card from aunti carol a guy could put together a working contraption that would be able to emulate some of the movements. small motors and actuators can be had cheaply and todays cameras are smaller and lighter .or you could just break into a tv studio take a few hostages and maybe end up with the real thing. or die trying to recreate the 3 movies lucas ruined.i got 10 dollars that says lucas tries to make up for it 1 day and makes it even worse. i can think of only 1 director in modern days with the skill and balls to use models in his movies."quentin terrentino" <mispelled? example the planes in kill bill. how awesome did that look?
