Song Of The South [35mm Restoration V3] (a WIP)
Time

Hey, Notelu. A few things:

  1. I found a video on YouTube called “Song of the South (1946)- Main Titles (Restored HD)”. It’s right here if you want to use it for your V3 restoration. Do some extra cleanup on the titles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBCCt7JhwOA
  2. Have you done any stabilization on your V3 restoration?
  3. Can you do automated cleanup?
  4. Make sure the restoration is in sync.
  5. Make sure the color grading is based on the original negative.

Help: Uncut Version of Dateline: Disneyland (1955), Disneyland After Dark (1962), and Disneyland 10th Anniversary (1965)
Time

On the Disneyland U.S.A and Your Host: Walt Disney DVDs, the three episodes shown on the topic title above have been edited. The Disneyland Story (1954) has been shown unedited.

We need to recreate the original uncut versions of the episodes in 1080p HD. We might need to use the DVDs as the main source and replace the scenes that were edited for the DVDs with the ones that has the Disney Channel logo. We might need to remove it using Final Cut Pro and upscale the uncut scenes to HD and clean up and color correct them to match the DVD footage. We might need to do additional cleanup to the DVD footage as well. We might also need to perform audio restoration for the DVD and TV scenes. Make sure the scenes and audio play seamlessly and in sync.

Send me a link in the comments when each episode is uncut and done completely.

TGWNN's 4K77 fully remastered (WIP)

I’m currently working on posting a short sequence of full restored video, but in the meantime
I wanna explain something about the DNR I’ll be doing…
Instead of just applying a blanket layer of DNR, which will cause static grain and detail flicker.
Instead, each element of the frame has to be masked out, and DNRed separately, to minimize any detail loss.
Then, it’s color-corrected, and a thin layer of that original grain is put back in after it’s been refined.

and then you get something like this:

(the screenshot desaturates the image slightly)

Here’s a video comp:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fYns2m2hkyqDLd01j5r2lG4Hk2wz1uiU/view?usp=sharing

There are still some kinks to iron out (Chewie fur problem, Dust and scratches)

When you said something about that image you showed has been slightly desaturated, does that mean you fixed the saturation and fixed those kinks you’re talking about?

I need some help with this.
Time

When I was looking on Internet Archive, I came across this thing called “Monsters. Inc. 2001. PROPER. 1080p. Blu Ray. H 264. AAC RARBG[ TGx]”.

I found three versions of the Blu-ray:

  1. The first one without the word “PROPER”.
  2. The 3D Blu-ray.
  3. The third one that has the word “PROPER”.

I was wondering. Could it mean that the third one means that the Blu-ray has been color corrected and has the snow cone’s original colors uncut?

Ask Roman Genaille about it in the reviews down below. Just go to Internet Archive and type in “Monsters. Inc. 2001. PROPER. 1080p. Blu Ray. H 264. AAC RARBG[ TGx]”.

Help: Designs on Jerry (1955) Fixed and Color Corrected
Time

According to the Tom and Jerry Fandom, it says that in most prints, especially the restored print has two frames missing where the ship with a stick hits a cue ball, but the audio is still intact, meaning that the video is out of the sync with the audio.

I need someone to use a print of the cartoon that has the missing frames intact and clean up and color correct it, along with the restored cartoon.

Preserving the...<em>cringe</em>...Star Wars Holiday Special (Released)

MattMahdi said:

I have a Blu-ray version that someone made and set out on the winds. I believe it’s an EditDroid upscale – it didn’t name the source, but the language in the .nfo made me think so.

And it’s not bad. The commentary track did nothing for me, but I have watched it through.

I assume that this disc is based on that release, but with added subtitles and supposedly other bonus features. And of course, I’m sure I’ve either seen or know everything in those special features.

But still there’s the temptation…

You mean you got the Blu-ray from Showtown Apparel and More?
