Aside from the hospital scene, (which was cut after the opening weekend in the U.S, and not in any UK version to my knowledge) I’m not aware of any other variations. Are you able to take screenshots?

Some foreign prints had Jack’s typed pages in different languages as well as the title cards.

A few screenshots just to give you an idea of dimensions etc.
I don’t think there’s any extra information in the image.

I was trying to figure out when the closing credits were changed to white. I have a copy of the second ABC tv broadcast from 1985, (white credits) but not the 1983 network debut. (I doubt there is any differences there.) I don’t think the actual lettering ever changed.

Does the UK broadcast have the profanity dubbed over and Room 237 ghost covered in a creepy fog? That’s interesting that the credits were still blue! If you get the chance to do an A/B comparison with the DVD or Blu-Ray it could be enlightening.

The early Japanese LD I used to have had mild censorship of Room 237 ghost. There was once a clip on The Overlook Hotel site, but tumblr prudishly removed it.

All profanity intact, no ‘fogging’ in Room 237, tennis ball is yellow and opening Warner logo is same as the one you posted on previous page.
I only have the UK Blu-Ray of the 119 min. international cut to hand, so that’s not going to be of much help to me in doing a comparison. Although I’m fairly certain I have a DVD of the longer version buried somewhere. Just need to dig it out.
Is there anything I should be looking out for that might indicate if this version is in any way different/unique to all commonly available versions?

Yes, there are. Some early home video versions have them as well. Wish I had an HBO airing from 1981 to check the credits.

I don’t have the 1981 HBO airing but I do have the first UK broadcast of the US extended cut… 1992?
At the time it was the only way to see the US cut as there was no Region 2/Pal home media version available then.

I’ve no idea how this differs from all other available versions but I can confirm it has the blue end credits.

I’m also curious as to why you would desire the specific 1981 HBO airing. If the 35mm print already has them, are you expecting something different from earlier releases / broadcasts?

Help: looking for... 'Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid' - HD version of Turner Preview?
Time

I wouldn’t hold out much hope for a true HD screening of the Turner cut anytime soon.

According to Paul Seydors’ " The Authentic Death and Contentious Afterlife of Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid
The Untold Story of Peckinpah’s Last Western Film" (an essential read for any PG&BTK fan), when the 2005 DVD release was in the planning, Warners refused to stump up the money for a new master of the Turner cut.
He also claims his contribution to the project went unpaid. Such is the disdain Warners hold for this classic.

Unless Warners have a change of heart or they license this to some other company that will show it the love it deserves, we’re stuck with the same SD print that’s been circulating for the past 30+ years.

I actually wouldn’t mind seeing the theatrical cut in HD/proper aspect ratio. If anyone knows where it can be found, I’d appreciate a heads up.
I have the Pan/Scan MGM Laserdisc. It’s atrocious!
