As to the character development, I saw the episodes that Smudger got his source material from, and there just wasn't enough there to draw from.  I think he really did do the best he could.  The whole old guy (99) and Heavy storyline, and Heavy's death not being very impactful, it just wasn't there in the original story.  Blame the Clone Wars writers for that.

As far as excising the Huttlett story, I think that was a good choice in principle.  I saw the Clone Wars feature film over the last weekend, and that story was so DUMB.  But yes, there was a lot of character development with Anakin and Ahsoka, not to mention there was some good material with Padme and Palpatine, that unfortunately couldn't be included without having to include the stupid baby worm story. 

So maybe the Hutlett story should have been included, but very sharply pared down; not so much of the crying baby scenes, or Ahsoka playing mother, etc.

I just submitted my review.  Great film!  Can't wait for episode 2.

Just finished watching it, and I'm very impressed.  I just have a question: How far into the series does this go?  In other words, if I wanted to continue watching with the original series, where would i have to start? 

I ask because I looked on Wikipedia and it seems confusing. There's apparently this whole kidnapping of Jabba's baby thing, which i actually think sounds quite dumb... ?

I LOVE this so far!  I'm only about halfway through (I don't have much time), but this is such an exciting story!  Editing is excellent.  I'm not sure how much "kid" stuff was in the original series, but this is very good and not childish.  

I'm looking forward to finishing this and starting Episode 2 when you're done.

Once I'm done watching this episode, I'll post a real review.  Just wanted to share this quick thought.

I just checked the resolution, and you're right; it's 720x356.  I guess on a Note 3, that's good enough!

Is he going to be releasing ESB before the HD ANR?

 Are you referring to a 1080p edit?  I've downloaded ANH by Adywan and it looks very crisp and HD to me.  Granted I haven't actually started it yet, but I've skimmed through it for now.

One question:  Was the music or sound during the duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan changed in any way?

I can't find it on Vimeo when searching.  Is there a specific way to find it?

The container links on fanedit.info comes up 100% offline, for both 720p and 1080p.

Not yet. Should have a full trailer for Episode II by the end of the month.

I'm not referring to Ep II, I'm talking about the first one.

I haven't watched the Clone Wars because of the childish aspect to it, so really looking forward to this!
