I joined this stie because I want the originals as they were made. I assumed that was what everyone else here wanted as well. Now that we are getting them on DVD all I am hearing is "not good enough". To all of you that are bitching please please please shut the fuck up.

Hey redbaron, what exactly constitutes being a new retard. Is it the fact that a person may not have a high post count or is it that you are uncomfortable with things or people that may be different? I am curious.

As far as warblers leaving goes. I am a new retard (I am only assuming since no real definition has been given yet) and nothing makes this retard happier than seeing whiney bitchy long time people with high post counts get sensitive and tell every one that they are leaving. Whats the deal with that. Do you lack the attention that you feel you deserve.

I could personally care less wether sales are good or bad on this release. I only care that I will have the OOT on dvd. I own the SE version on dvd because it was a Christmas gift. If Lucas is so petty that he will come out and say told you so if sales are bad. Who Cares. He has had one good Idea. Sure it created the greatest series of movies ever but it was still just one good idea.
Does anyone here think that the fact that he released his abominations first would have an effect on sales of the OOT. I believe that the sales will be higher on the first version released.

I would put most of the blame on Lucas as well. I think Samuel Jackson is a great actor, but not to play a Jedi. You know how you know which light sabre belongs to Mase. It is the one that says bad mother f*cker on it.

I remember spending every quarter I could scrounge on the Star Wars arcade Game. And later I remember begging my mom to take me grocery shopping with her because K-Mart had the ROTJ arcade game. I just don't remember ever having seen a ESB arcade game.
I do remember the terrible ESB game on the Atari 2600 though. That was horrible.

I saw all 3 in the theater and honestly don't remember looking at the screen and saying to myself "wow that looks really crappy". I just remember being blown away by the effects. In all honesty the only thing that made me go "huh" was in ROTJ when Luke turned his speeder sidways to fit between two trees. By turning sidways he made himself and the speeder wider.

I may be in the minority here but I hope that they look like the film that I saw in the theater. I could care less what the sound quality is like. It couldn't be any worse than my worn out old VHS. I want the nostalga to live on. When Lucas tries to make things better he just screws up a good thing.

The Changes I hated are.
The loud scream growl or whatever it was that scared the sand people away. What was the point of that. All the slap stick garbage that was added as Luke ans Obi Wan were headed into Mos Eisly. The larger droid hitting the smaller one and the Jawa falling off of the large beast it was riding after it got spooked. There is the blatantly obvious Greedo shooting first.

I didn't mind the addition of Jabba, sure it was cheesey and poorly done but I enjoyed it. The addition of Luke talking to Biggs before they take off towards the death star wasn't so bad either.

I own all three S/E movies on DVD and after watching ESB and ROTJ one time I have been unable to watch them again. they were just to awful. Especially ROTJ.

I was a gullable kid so I never even thought that Vader could be lying to Luke. I remember being surprised and a little confused.
